I recall seeing something somewhere that stated they moved the front pockets backwards a bit, as originally they were at the very front of the bed but it caused interference with folding the top down? Vague recollection, sorry that’s all I have.

I tinker with old computers from the 1970's and 1980's and one common failure point for them are the capacitors. Certain styles/types of capacitors start leaking and basically fail to work at all. Hi folks, thought I had a good pair of splash aprons but turns out they aren’t for a 26/27 roadster.

Anyone have a set of good splash aprons for such a beast? Would prefer original sheet metal, but will consider retro if that’s the only option.

I am awaiting several parts for the shift tower, hopefully they will get here tomorrow so I can try t...

Anyone know if the new pinned brake cams are providing good service? I hear the earlier replacements were splined and didn’t do well…

Re: from Ford Times

Yeah it seems there was a UK version as well, that did not stop publication in 1917.

I see various iterations "for sale" on eBay from the 1930's. Most (if not all) from UK based sellers.

Re: Model TT trucks galore

Wow! That is incredible!! Here in Georgia those trucks wouldn't exist due to the rain/moisture we see here - would just be piles of rusted frames/blocks/etc. Very cool to see, and not just TT's, some T's, some early cars from Chevy, Nash, etc. (I especially liked the model T tractor conversions) Tha...

Re: Rear End Rebuild

Yah I wish I had thought of sending my gears/keys/etc., to the vendor I purchased my axles from. Oh well, live and learn. I might take Dan up on his offer to help, he's only 2 or 3 hours away and I need to pick up a few other parts from him too. Its been an amazing experience so far, I know I've onl...

Re: Rear End Rebuild

Wow! Thank you all for the speedy replies!! -Henry I have good gears (if I can get them off) and new retainer clips and woodruff keys, so I'm good there but thank you for offering!! So it seems the consensus is I need a 20 ton hydraulic press - and I'll put the nut back onto the threads to protect t...

Rear End Rebuild

Hi folks. So I've been focused on the disassembly of my 1926 Roadster pickup, and am at the stage now where I am working on rebuilding the driveshaft/tube and rear end. (Or trying to at least) The axles on mine are shot, one has a shattered key way and the other is deeply worn so I purchased new axl...

Thank you guys! Appreciate the information. (And I loved the picture of y'all picking up the touring body!!)

Now to plan a BBQ or similar and invite some of the local Georgia chapter to "brunch" :-)

Weight of a 1926 Roadster Body

Hi Folks, wondering if anyone knows the approximate weight of a 1926 Model T roadster body, where everything has been removed. (No steering column, no fuel tank, no interior, no turtle deck, etc) Mine has some significant rust issues and I want to get the body off of the frame so I can evaluate the ...

Re: What have you done with your T in May

Well I started the “discovery” part of rebuilding a Model T by removing the wood pickup bed, all 4 fenders (who puts 1.5” long bolts to hold fenders on??? - so hard to get off once they are rusty!!), removed the top and radiator and began figuring out which parts I need to replace. I’m about 50/50 o...

Anyone from Georgia attending Luray?

Wondering if anyone from Georgia will be attending the Luray swap next month. As luck would have it, that is the weekend my in-laws are coming to visit so I can't make it. I am looking for 3 stock wire wheels in REALLY good condition for my '26 pickup - I picked up 2 this weekend and they of course ...
