Ford script units
These units are from what was left when the brass ford scripts were made in the 1950s. The unit could be made into a stencil by using thin strips holding the peices in place. The one picture on a thin board is from the 1950s was was used a a guide when the stampings were made. It shows that the piec...

I have owned my 1910 T since Sept, 1946. I may be the longest owner of a Model T, but I was looking for the original owner of a Ford who still owns and drives the For and suggest the year of the Ford might be 1946 or 7.

The $5 day wage by Ford was a hiring ploy. Ford got to chose from the 10 thousand applicants the very best workers. With the best skillful Ford could speed up the assembly line with less mistakes on assembly. The Ford company made more profit by paying a higher wage.

There are some serious questions about number 2. Donald B Hess "restored" the car. He was well known as a collector of early Fords. I sold me some NRS parts. He advertised several times selling very early Model T parts, so it is assumed he had extra very early 1909 parts. The Model T in question has...

Re: 15 YEARS OLD AND ABOUT TO CHANGE BANDS FOR FIRST TIME!
I was 15 when I first changed the band lining on my 1910. I dropped a nut into the pan. I was told to tap the drain plug and the nut would jump up and attach to a magnet. I did that, cranked the engine half a turn and there was the nut. I changed the bands this year on and the 1910 and dropped the i...

Re: Luray, VA Mid-Atlantic Pre-War Swap Meet Pics
You can park that original 1910 (1911 model year, but decked out mostly as a 1910) in my garage anytime - alongside my May 1910 touring. I really like "barn finds", that are still mostly original. This one was clad with brewster green varnish when new, as was my 1910. Original wood bodies on most of...

Re: Dec. 1910 Touring
Few of the 1909-11 Model T Ford engines have the original timer plate. Mine did when I bought it in 1946, but I put on a NOS later plate sometime in the 1950s. I gave the original plate to a friend who needed one for his 1910. I should have kept it. I do have a repro plate and have an original two p...

Re: Identify this event please
Except for the pilot auto the cars we can see are 1913-14 Ford tourings. Most likely new at the time of the photo. It is interesting. If it was an "open to public" event, what all Fords? Why is the pilot auto not a Ford.

Re: Dec. 1910 Touring
An interesting surviver. The serial number makes a 1911 - but basically it is a 1910 carry over. There are several features that are 1911 model, but the T should be restored with all the nice 1910 features. The rear wheels are still with the original green paint. The front timer cover is later and t...

A birthday today.
Not about my 1910 Model T Ford (so I could list this message), but the birthday today of a fine man, honest, soft spoken, a real gentleman, Former president, Jimmy Carter, 96 years old.

Re: My 1910 will not start!
SOLVED!!! yes we put it high gear. Did all the tricks and nothing helped. I am at my business and will need to correct the T when I get home. It has been 20 years since I wired a T and my 1910 is the only T I have at the present. I reversed the wires on the coil box. from left to right it should be ...

Re: My 1910 will not start!
we did not use a guage to test compression, but with the sparks plugs loose, we put a bit of gas by each spark plug and the gas ran in. when we turned the crank, bubbles came up showing than the pistons were forcing air out.

My 1910 will not start!
This summer, we pulled the engine on my 1910 Touring. It is a May 8, 1910 build. Open valve, original one piece pan, original head and trans cover. The transmission is a later non starter I installed in the 1960s and is tight and nice. The mag coil stopped working some time ago. I stored the T for 1...

Re: Big dissapointment !
I could write a book of what took place at auctions years ago. Some of these trick sstill occur. One old time auctioneer here in central MN would knock down a good item quickly at a low price, always to the same number. That number was his. He loaded up an auction, usually at a farm, with his own it...

Fan, ceiling, double rotating from 1920s.
This fan is sought after and has a following. Estimate by an expert was $15,000. This one works, I pluged it in. Sold as is, but seems complete. I would rather have it picked up here in Minnesota. Open to offers.
