Wolf whistles are a lot of fun, takes a 1/8npt hole in your intake manifold. At parade speed a wolf whistle will make more noise than an Aermore as well!

Removing Rubber Stem from Tube

My first go around with putting original metal stems into a modern tube. What’s the best way to pull the old brass core out now that I’ve cut off most of the rubber valve stem? There’s a fair bit to grab on to but it’s bonded to the tube very well. Wanted to ask the experts before I goof.

Re: The Model T ignition was needlessly overcomplicated

We tend to ignore a basic fact of the Model T. For most of the production run Henry had a big problem, he could not build them fast enough. The popularity caused a very rapid rise in sales and the production had to try to keep up. He had such a large market share that today would call it a monopoly...

Re: The Model T ignition was needlessly overcomplicated

If there was a more profitable way of doing things, I’m sure Henry and his men would have done it. To my understanding, if profitability had never decreased Ford would have produced the Model T so long as Henry was alive.

Much appreciated gentlemen, I wanted to make sure I had the story straight.

Carbureter Settling Bowl

I’m sure I’ve seen one of these before, looked on the forum best I could but couldn’t find one in a post. Does anyone know the history of this little settling bowl that screws into the carbureter? It appears to be made of bronze and maybe has a “D” marking on the side but it’s very faint and could j...

I once had a similar issue when I over tightened the cam nut, causing the brush to run crooked against the timer.

Off-Topic because this is a Chevrolet. Mystery locking wheel, this is all that is left of it. Can anyone learn me how to remove it?

I put on the fitting and rubber before I flare the line, then when I tighten it everything is squished together for a nice seal. Aviator, it looks like it stretched on you?

I use 1/4" Ni-Copp with the little rubbers but I flare the ends of the line. How nasty is that?

Re: 1946 as the Model T fades from the daily scene

I know what you mean Mr. Jelf! No ill-will behind this next anecdote, only humor, but I'm sure many can relate when pulling up somewhere in a T:
