You say you have a vaporizer carburetor. It could be that the central plate has rusted through. That could explain why it ran fine and then it didn’t. Worth checking out.

If the only thing you changed is the sediment bowl then you may have bent or altered the float in the bowl. That would change your fuel flow

26-27 running board brackets

My running board brackets seemed to be bent. Should they be parallel to the floor. Also, what can I use as a reference for the brackets fore and aft. Im planning to bend them with a piece of pipe. Anybody have a better idea. Thanks

Vaporizer Float Adjustment

I fired up my 26 coupe first time since 1984, it started right up. Only ran for a few moments as I have the radiator off. When I shut it down the carb was leaking. It has a Holley Vaporizer and I can't find out what the float level should be. Any suggestions would be most helpful. Thanks

which Oil

I know this subject has came up quite a few times but, the ol gray cells don't work as good as they used to. I'm getting close to getting my 26 coupe running after 50 years. A neighbor said I should use oil that has zinc in it, which I suspect that most oils used today don't have. He suggested going...

Motor Mounts and Frame

I'm putting my 26 Coupe back together. I disassembled it in 1965 I hit a tree and was getting ready to go in the Navy and didn't really have anywhere to store it inside. So most of the bigger parts were in my folks garage and only the body was outside under a cover. The frame was bent but my dad str...

Luray Swap Meet

I'm heading up to Luray tomorrow instead of Sat. The weather forecast is 20% rain Fri and 70% on Sat. Is there much stuff up there on Fridays? I won't leave Lexington till close to 12:00 and it's a 2-3 hr drive. So I hope they aren't packing up before I get a chance to look around.

Was going to going the Navy in late 65, didn't really have a place to store it so took it completely apart and stored the pieces in my folks garage. When th...

This is the car I had in high school, I took it totally apart in 1965, and finally getting around to putting it back together. Like to get it done while I can still enjoy it and show my son how to drive it while I still can.

Front Wheel Wobble

I'm getting around to restoring my 1926 Model T Coupe that I've owned for over 50 years. After cleaning up and painting the front wheels I mounted them one has a wobble of about 3/8". Is there anyway to fix it without replacing it? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

26-27 Brakes

I relined the brake shoes and now the wheel is real tight. I was thinking about removing 3-4" of the brake lining on both ends or grinding the brake cam thinner. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
