Re: FS rear axle bearing
In some of the model t restoration videos and manuals (Chaffin book) they state anything .495 to .50 is good. I've heard that if one end of the rollers is good and the other is undersized some, folks will rotate them so the loaded side of the bearing has the better side of the rollers.

Re: FS rear axle bearing
These need to be measured on both ends before they can be sold. We all have lots of these around that are out of spec now from wear. I sorted through eight to find four good ones for my car.

Re: Instructions for adding images to postings
Thank you!
The file size limit is low. Super low. I tired a simple PDF and no go.
I think there is some process that involves adding pictures to my Gallery and then referencing these pictures through the image tool. I think it is a two step process.

Hi I tried adding pictures and was not able to. I clicked on the "image" tool on the toolbar and it inserted some text into my posting - very odd. I tried attaching a file via a pdf and it was too large.
For price - I have no idea.

E&J Model 366 - Early 09 Lights For Sale
Hi all,
I have a set of E&J Model 366 lamps which look identical to the 466 model.
I did some internet research and found mention that they could be for an early 1909?
Anyway, they are for sale.

All, I have an extra good 1913-14 radiator (no dents no leaks and good finish) and would like to trade for 1914 coil box, E&J tail light and tapered front leaf spring. These are the parts I need to swap out to make my 1914 closer to authentic. This is not a round tube radiator - sorry authenticity f...

1915 Runabout - older restoration - lots of originality
This 1915 Runabout is a fairly original car of an older restoration. Here is what I have done to the car: 1. Renovated hogs head and replaced bands and used the new stronger springs, 2. Installed a set or Rocky Mountain Brakes 3. Rebuilt coil box and installed rebuilt coils with the nice copper top ...

Newish kevlar brake band seemed to swell - car stalled
Has anyone else experienced a kevlar band on the brake drum swelling?
Mine did during a short 10-mile trip and caused the car to stall. Not much room left to loosen the band - running out of threads on the pedal shaft.
I would assume that bands settle in and compress some over time.

Inspected car found rust interior to engine
Hi all, I was inspecting a 1914 Model T I am interested in buying. I took the cover off the hog's head and found rust everywhere. The car has been sitting for 15 years, full of all fluids (gas, oil, water in radiator), and somehow water got into the crankcase. Certainly changes how much I will offer...

I've noticed a few cars of interest located out of state. I would not make a buy unless a full inspection was done by a Model T expert.
Do such experts exist for hire? If so, how would I find a person nearest the prospective car?
