Always nice to see those old-time videos. How times have changed.

Re: What type oil should I use?

I've been using 30W non detergent Zurnoil in my Model A since 1963. I still have several 24 can cases I bought in the late seventies which should last me into the next lifetime. It's always preformed great in the A, so I see no problem using it with my newly acquired all original T.

Re: How Many Model T's are still Around

One story I've heard is that most model T's being older than the A went to the metal scrap drives for WWII. The A and others of those years were kept running during the war years until afterward when new cars finally became available, and they just went to the scrap yard without being immediately cr...

Re: Antifreeze Thoughts

Scott, thanks for the thought. I haven'y done anything yet with the T and the Evans Coolant. I'll use the 50/50 first to see how it runs and will most likely stay as per your, and others comments on it. As for my A with a water pump, no problems since I started using it.

Re: Antifreeze Thoughts

This past June I put Evans Waterless Coolant in my Model A and so far so good. I'm thinking I'll do the same with my 25 Roadster. It boils at 375°F.

Re: How old are your Model T tires?

I just picked up my 1925 roadster in October and the previous owner said the tires were put on in the late 1960's. It probably hasn't run since that time as they have major dry rot cracks, but tread like new.

1925 Front Spring

Has anyone ever seen a front spring like this? No bolt, just a dimple that one leaf sits into the dimple bottom of the next leaf. I've since changed it out for a new one.

Re: New Forum Member

I've know Fred for a long time. He found my 1925 Roadster last month which is my first T. Having been an A owner for 60 years I thought it was time for a T. By the way, I still have that same A.
