Re: Motometer reading

Steve, thanks for mentioning that. Yes, I started with a heat pipe. Then I fabricated what I call a "heat collector" to help and to protect the intake manifold from the icy air that was being blown through the engine compartment. I was getting condensation just above the carb. I have an intermediate...

Thank you all for your replies. It does seem that I will us it as my reference indicator, and the good news is that I have done a few things now that lets me drive on a cold day here in the Northwest winter. I ask the question because I've been trying to improve the winter driving capabilities of my car. My motometer was not registering the slightest "red" in the thermometer. Allen, I am aware. As I stated in the first message I am going to wire wheels this winter. I only got the car going this past summer and basically drove around dialing in things. Once and for All...Caster Angle

So I have been investigating all the front suspension specs of my newly rebuilt front end. Camber is built into the spindles. Not too much to do here except note that the 26-27 spindles have a bit less. Caster is set by the angle of the wishbone studs into the axle perches. The perches have an angle...

regardless of what is right or wrong, this piece turned out to be brass, with a clear coat sprayed on it. Makes me wonder if the re pops are like that? or if someone just did it.

anyway, I will work to strip it gently and then can work with the brass finish. It's going to be fine.
