Homecoming car show

I’m planning on bringing my Model N to the car show on Saturday It is not running at the moment. I’m having the coils rebuilt so I’m leaving it on the trailer. I know that area of Richmond a little bit. Any tips or suggestions?

Re: Model N

Front of the camshaft is exposed. Manifold is tapped for anipple but has been plugged for a very long time as is the oil line tapping in the crankcase. Oil tank is gone. Rear axle rods appear straight. One may be bent from damage.

Re: Model N

I don’t know yet. When I got 2 coils were dead. Dave Woods is building me a new set of coils He says he’s a couple of months behind so it may be awhile
It bothers me that the intake faces forward. Don’t know if I can turn it around
Looking forward to finding out.

Re: Model N

Rob I do own 509. I’ve been involved with Model T’s for over 50 years never thought I’d own an N. A friend of mine came up with it a few years ago. E said he got it from an estate. I had to have it. I got it last spring. It has the machined boss for the serial number. It has the tapered manifold and...

Re: Fancy R

The lack of running boards and lack of headlights indicates to me that it is probably a N I’ve never seen doors like that on an N R or S and the fenders are larger and more elaborate than the ones on my N. The top is nearly identical to mine. My car is not running yet and the top is not on it right ...

Re: New to forum

Thank you for mentioning my 25 pickup Original George. I think she feels a little neglected now that I’ve got the N. It is Not an original pickup. It is a roadster conversion with a wood bed. Whoever did it did a really nice job. I really like the way the front of the bed is extended to protect the ...

Re: New to forum

You’re right. And I have yet to prove to myself that it is not original. The body sides are single pices of wood from the dash to the tailgate. And the bed floor is single boards from the front of the seat to the tailgate with a notch cut out for the fuel outlet. There are no cuts chops or alteratio...

Re: New to forum

Thank you! Advice we’ll taken. Didn’t mention I have the original top for it too. A couple of the irons are broken and some seams are torn I will repair it and put it back on. It has a beautiful blue liner inside it.

Re: New to forum

It has the remains of original maroon paint on it.
Everyone who has seen it including a couple of Model T Ford club directors is suggesting I don’t restore it. Leave it original and just get it running and drivable. I’d love to restore it but I love it this way too.

New to forum

Thank you for letting join the forum. Been a Model T driver mechanic and owner for over 55 years. Dad and I have had 8 or 9 of them over the years. My regular driver is currently a 25 roadster pickup always been a kind of loner. Never been involved in club activities. Just driven locally with friend...
