Re: Model T Front and Inner Wheel Bearings

Thanks for the advice. I got them off by tapping with a chisel. The Passenger's Side came off much easier than did the Driver's side. However, got them both off and both Inner Bearings looked good. I cleaned, repacked them with grease. I spun the wheels and both seem to turn freely by tightening jus...

Model T Front and Inner Wheel Bearings

So I had posted here yesterday that I repacked my front and inner wheel bearings on my 26 T. For the Inner bearings I did not remove them. I stated how the the passenger side felt a little hot after repacking. I went and backed off the bearing a bit and then tightened up the lock nut and pin. I thou...

1926 Model T Touring

Today, I decided it was time that I take my front wheels on my T and clean and repack both the inner and outer bearings of each wheel. The outer wheel bearing on the passenger side has already been replaced since We owned this T. I found the outer bearing on the driver's side of the car still okay b...

Re: Model T Emergency Brake Lever/High / Netural Lever

How about your hand brake cross shaft? Maybe it needs a little oil. http://www.mtfca.com/discus/messages/331880/377112.html?1374983789 Yep. I give it some oil from time to time as well. Thanks for the heads up everyone. I think since the last time I oiled that area I have noticed the squeal being g...

Re: Model T Emergency Brake Lever/High / Netural Lever

I grease the U Joint and Drive Shaft Zerks as recommend. Also, oil the shackles, etc. I have not taken the rear wheels off. Will I need a puller to get the Rear Wheels off?

Thanks.

Re: 1926 Model T Touring

Thanks to all for the advice and information on the Starting of the Model T. I , do believe indeed I was flooding the engine. I started it with less pulls of the choke closed. It started much easier.

1926 Model T Touring

I just can't seem to keep my T to where it starts easily after it's been setting. I Prime it for 3 or 4 cranks. I set the choke up a little. Then turn the switch on . I have to crank I would say 8-10 times to get it going. It had been 2-3 after it was primed and it would go. I have noticed that abou...
