Did you have a picture how you set-up the speedo at the wheel? I have a similar kit and I'm ready to install it and I'm not sure how... Before I make some stupid mistakes, I prefer asking expert. LOL :lol:

Vincent, You must trust Steve, Original Smith and John, go ahead with replacing wiring and cleaning up all cable grounding surfaces etc. A good Generator is more important than the starter itself because you could start the engine like Steve did. Personally, I bought my tubes and my white Firestone tires from Lang's, more expensive but they garanteed them. And I always have 5 stars service from Lang's.

My Engine is pretty new rebuilt. Less than 20 miles on it. I probably need to be more patient with her and starting to use her every day with small run like 4-5 miles and increased miles over time. Thank's for your answer. Wish you a nice summer.

I repaired mine 5 years ago with this and no leaks as well... I also did my fuel Tank. It is arround $9. Just clean well the area with a brass brush as well and in 1 hour is fixed. But I recommend waiting 24h00. When I did my Gaz tank, I do not removed the gas and I put the paste directly on the lea...

First, Thank you sharing this video. I would say very interesting and that showing the Outside oil line kit which delivers extra oil to the front motor bearings to insure proper lubrication from Magneto is a nice pathway on my humble opinion after viewing the video.

Personally I used non-detergent oil for the last 15 years without any issues. I think you could use detergent oil or non-detergent at your convenience but please change your oil once a year at least... Oil is cheap and having engine or transmission issue is costly and keep you out of the road couple...

Exactly what I'm looking for!

Hi,

Any tips how to install or remove a transmission spring without using a hydraulic press. If I remember I saw a post with original solution on MTFCA forum but not able to remember. Any help will be appreciated.

Hi Ron,


I did the 15.5 degrees ATDC. I opened up the engine top and here bellow pictures showing at 15.5 degrees ATDC at valves and the first piston. Please let me know if that make sense or I'm the left field? I want to learn .

You have a beautiful car with the 5 balls carb, look fantastic. Just by curiosity, I have a 1911 and my flywheel and magneto look different than yours. What year are they ? Maybe mine is not accurate for the year, I don't have the flyingwheel ring gear.

I will try to take some pictures tonight of the engine without the head to see what is look inside at 15.5 degrees ATDC at valves and the first piston.

Hi Steve,

I'm in the same page than you. Here bellow is what I'm doing usually like you said the crankshaft pin pointing at 9:15 am and 3:15 pm. I'm just curious to see what happen inside at 15º ATDC??? I'm a visual person.

Tim you right is Tip Top Timer either. Mark Hutchinson is awesome person too. He was very helpful with me last year I did something very stupid with my timer and too ashamed to say what I did... I would be curious to know if in the two videos a Stock Model T, without external brakes like rocky mountains, without fuel pump, Original coils and coil box, no alternator, no ruckstell 2 speeds, standard tires can accomplish such a feat like these.
