Hi Dennis,

Here the link for oil slingers you will need. Personally I will prefer having a working magneto in the goal to have a better performance than running on battery. But it is your choice. Good luck and don't gave-up.

A friend of mine running with watter and he add liquid parrafin oil as well to avoid rust for many many years with no issue. He runnig a lot miles with he's T. I will ask how much of liquid parrafin oil he used.

Only water in a rad is good for rust and 50/50 mix Antifreeze does not cool as well as straight water. I know, I open a jar.. Let's the action beginning. :lol:

I installed a set of red hoses from Lang's on my both cars; I have had absolutely no issues with them neither. So let's buy there, the price is really fair too. Only $9,50 for the set

Hi Ian, I tried the product yesterday and it is the best product I never used for the task. I tryed several products and it is the best and easy to use.

Thank you for your advice. I have a Thermostat and a brand new radiator too. After 15 minutes is bowling a lot.

Maybe I will try to buy a cheap harbor freight infrared gun type thermometer to see what happen in different place of the engine.

I did the same than Tony with my 1911 , I would be scared using a welding one... Arton Senna one of the best formula 1 driver in the history lost is live with a welding column... Sometimes is good learning with other experiences. :shock:

R V Anderson did mine. Very well done. But I will suggest to send your Mag instead because that wil save you time to put it back with the same shime and adjustment. You will save alot time of adjustment. My 2 cents.

Seriously, I always had hard time changing a tube on my old tires from demountable ( my tires come from 60's-70's). They are Firestone with a white wall, they are hard no matter I let them warming up in the sun all day... Took me arround an hour and half all the time no matter what I'm doing to chan...

Hi Mark is correct, I'm just building a test engine, not for a car... I already have a used field coil but it is in miserable condition. If I want to run on magneto it will not work at all. I would like to test also coil boxe for our local chapter.

I would add fabulous! I' m aware, Stan do not have any one who could replace him in a near future if he decided to stop doing carb restoration like this one. But by now, I really enjoyed his art.

It is better buying full restored or not restored at all. Half way restored is the worst scenario... I learnt it by the hard way. Lol :lol:

Hi Hank,

Did you have a picture how you set-up the speedo at the wheel? I have a similar kit and I'm ready to install it and I'm not sure how... Before I make some stupid mistakes, I prefer asking expert. LOL :lol:

Vincent, You must trust Steve, Original Smith and John, go ahead with replacing wiring and cleaning up all cable grounding surfaces etc. A good Generator is more important than the starter itself because you could start the engine like Steve did. Hi Luxford, I would be interested either about the article on the St Lawrence Engine Co in Volume 25 Number 2 by Kevin Mowle. I'm leaving in Canada, and I see the St-Lawrence river from my house. I would like to convert a Model T engine in Marine conversion and intall it on a nice wood vintage boat....
