Re: 1915 Touring With Unusual Front Fenders

Dan, those early ads for crowned style fenders are interesting. It certainly changes appearance of a brass era T. No doubt with the idea of making it look like the black era T’s. I see they offered for the 17 to 19 model years as well. Not sure there would be much benefit with those as they had crow...

1915 Touring With Unusual Front Fenders

Saw on Minneapolis Craig’s. Rest of car seems pretty original to me. Interior and top appear to be. You would have to look up for yourself to see all pics. No idea who is selling just found those custom fenders interesting and wonder who the mfg is.

Re: Rare?? Unused Portion Cutoff Touring

This one was buried out in woods for many years. The bottom 3 inches or so are rotted. About three years ago my neighbor put on pallet on his farm. Yesterday finally picked it up. It was a what I call the 23/25 variety touring.

Re: WTB Centerdoor Seat

John,
Don’t have a seat frame (used to) but do have rear backrest frame and spring for early ‘20’s C’door that I would give you for just the shipping. I was going to give to Don Boothe for his ‘16 c’door restoration but he is making his own. Let me know I have no use for it. John Sundstrom

Happy 99th to your ‘21 Touring! The 5 millionth Model T was made on May 28th, 1921. Your’s should be made very close to this one and that is quite interesting. John

Jim Sr.
Have this apron pictured here. It’s either the middle or lower one you posted. Mine is almost 24” wide. Is that the narrow or wider version. Excess parts Like to verify what it goes to.
Thanks John

More specifically I believe the seat frame is for a ‘30 - ‘31 Tudor.
The earlier Tudor frames like ‘28’s had some cast or forged pieces. Not sure exactly when they switched to stamping.

Re: Plastic vs. Wood Coils

Those plastic coils were manufactured by Blackstone Mfg in Chicago. It was a leftover product line that Echlin Corp Continued to produce after they acquired the company in the early 80’s. They were made until the late 90’s by them and then liquidated or sold off when the plant was shut down and Echl...

Hi Allan, In this case I use trolling to mean like trolling for northern (fish) on my lake. Not the sneaky little Guy under a bridge. Trawler would work if you use a bigger boat. I think many search Craigslist same way (not sure what you have down under) do a search for Model T parts, etc by region ...

This discussion about Leapin Lena's caught my attention. Back in about 1973 my dad purchased two model T's one of which was this '26 touring Leaping Lena (which is exactly the name we called it). The previous owner was a Shriner I believe from Chicago. We attempted to drive around the neighborhood a...

Your project is really moving along. That radiator I’m sure cost a pretty penny but looks great! This radiator was dug up on a family members farm in the 70’s. Using a backhoe to run septic field and they found it. Someone had apparently junked and buried the car Many years ago. Family member has lo...

Re: Something's not right with my top installation

To John Kuehn, yes the wood armrest is notched and goes over the top iron support. Two short carriage bolts go thru the tack strip and body panel to fasten. The armrest is held by three C’sunk wood screws vertically fastened to tack strip. You Can see the holes in top of wood armrest. This is a beau...
