Re: Helicoil hard to reach block hole?

Just updating this thread in case someone is reading this post in the future. Once I got the hood former and firewall out of my 1915 touring, I had enough room to get a drill in vertically to drill out the two back holes on the block. I made a 1 1/2" thick guide block out of hardwood scraps (old har...

Re: Helicoil hard to reach block hole?

Thanks for all the replies. I got the hood former and wood firewall out, but the firewall came out in a few pieces, it was pretty fragile. Helicoil or just swap out head?

Hi folks, I'm new here and a new owner of a '15 touring. My father in law restored it years ago and since he passed it has come to me. I've been working on getting it back together, and found that spark plug hole #1 is in bad shape, the threads crumbled as I removed the plug. Also the threads on bot...

WTB 1915 cylinder head water outlet

I'm the new owner of my family's 1915 touring.

The outlet pipe crumbled into dust. None of the parts suppliers seem to have any stock of the replacement.

Anyone have a serviceable one of these they would part with?

thanks!
