Re: Push Button Starter Switch
I finished installing the starter solenoid in the T today. It only took 90 minutes start to finish. 😲 what a difference..... nothing gets hot and it cranks much faster. It also starts faster, I think that old style starter switch lost so much amperage across its contacts and turned it into heat inst...

Re: Push Button Starter Switch
Adam,
I’ve replaced all my battery/ starter cables with new single O Teflon coated cable. I too was thinking that maybe the wiring was to small to handle the amperage. However.... it didn’t seem to help!

Re: Push Button Starter Switch
Tony,
I’ve often thought about doin what you mentioned (installing a starter solenoid). I’ve already have a solenoid and I’ll power that with a small push button switch mounted on the dash. That’s my project for tomorrow!

Push Button Starter Switch
Anyone having issues with newly purchased push button starter switches? Three years ago I replaced my starter switch on my 26 sedan because it was becoming intermittent. That particular switch was on the car for at least 25 years. It’s the same switch used on my Farmall M tractor so.....off to the f...

Don,
This is perfect....exactly what I was looking for. This will make it so much easier and will take all the guess work out of it. I can't wait for the weekend so I can get in the shop and start working on this!
Thanks to everyone for all the help with this.

I'm in the process of restoring a 1926 Coupe and all the top (roof) wood is missing. I'm wondering if anyone has a drawing showing the layout and dimensions. Any help would be appreciated.

Re: Camshaft Pitting- How much is too much?
I can only comment on what I've seen in aircraft engines.... I have done several aircraft engine teardown and overhauls and seen where cam lobes were worn completely off causing serious performance issues. I've also witnessed cam lobes partially worn down causing HP losses. All these cam lobe issues...

I'm curious to know if anyone knows what make of car this motor meter / radiator cap came from. Could it possibly be an after-market ? What would be the value?
I got this with the old oil can at a garage sale along with a bunch of model T coil boxes. Any value on the oil can?

A friend of mine Richard Cole passed away on Tuesday April 9th he was 103. Richard was the last surviving Doolittle Raider and was LT Col James Doolittle's co-pilot. I find it very disheartening that it didn't make much local or national news that day. Mr. Cole was real gentleman, soft spoken, forwa...

They are coyotes and the lever action shotgun on the right looks like a Winchester model 1887. They produced the model 1887 in either 12 or 10 gauge. The shotgun on the left looks like either a Browning A-5 or a Remington Model 11. These two shotguns are nearly identical and difficult to differentia...
