For Sale 1909 Timer
Nice 1909 - 1910 timer no roller. Came in a box of model N parts. I don't know if it is an original or a Howard Caccia timer Looks very useable, low milage, but has been used. $500.00 plus postage continental USA only (moreford at netzero dot net)

Brass step plates, Ford script on radiator core( especially cast) natural wood wheels, in the eyes of a purist is just plain wrong. To each his own, restoration is not understood by most people.(Restoration and customizeing are two different things) 1909 - 10 did have stamped radiator scripts on core.

Richard: A while back a lot of the lamps out there were coated with a baked on clear plastic that regular stripper wouldn't touch. I found that CRC gasket remover from the auto parts store worked. I don't know why anyone would go through the hassle of building their own - John Ragens are reasonable and very professional looking not homemade looking.

I have had success using CRC gasket remover from a local auto parts store. It is great for stripping old finishes. Back in the 70's when I worked for Ed Towe in Montana Lew Rector told me he once had a six cylinder model T and wished he still had it for the Towe collection. Lew was from the Bay Area.

Pete: I don't think it could be the one from the Bothwell collection, Ben Sharpsteen told me that the fire was so hot it melted the aluminum of the model K.

I think what you need is in Bruces encyclopedia on pages 57 -60 very good pictures of a very original 09 roadster. Maybe some one could up load the pictures if you don't have the book.

The red "Model T Ford Handbook" by Leslie Henry shows how to make a pattern and top. I believe the book is still available from dealers.

As I remember it Eds long touring was made by Bill Maguire, ( not sure on his last name spelling) I remember seeing the frame in his shop. I believe the car is in the Lodi Stockton area now.

Wayne, The Towe B is owned by a well known member of the Early Ford Registry here in California. I own a model N ford that Wil had and restored. He sold it to Broadway Motors in Oakland years before I got it.

Back in the early 70's I worked for Ed Towe in Montana, we had a heck of a time getting his Model B running. Most of his engine was done by Wil Faulstick, which may have been the problem. The car did run.? I hope you have better luck.
