Re: Towing a 1904 Oldsmobile Model N
I have to agree with you Bud for the most part, but it can be done. First of all use a nylon tow strap, not a chain. Second, the wife is in the tow vehicle and it is explained to her that you will be doing ALL the braking. Side roads, 25 to 30 mph. Spooky for her, but with some luck and detailed com...

Re: Buying gas from a visible gas pump
During WW2 we would drive from the farm in the family car, a Model A with a rumble seat and get gas from a visual gas pump in South Phoenix. I can still remember the old man getting up out of a very tired chair and ambling over to the car, ask how much my dad wanted and go through the procedures des...

Seattle Air Museum
My family and i were in Seattle the first part of this month to catch a cruise ship to Alaska. We had about 4 hours of downtime between hotel checkout and boarding time, so my son, grandson and I decided to visit the Air Museum. That is an incredible collection of aircraft and related items. As far ...

Installation instructions for 26 touring top
When an amateur such as myself takes something apart and 5 years later takes those parts to a professional to be put back together, there are bound to be some difficulties!! My upholstery guy is trying to put the top back on Ole Gert and it isn’t going well. I’ve rebuilt the bows and all seems to be...

Problem Solving 101
After 5 years and two truckloads of money, Ole Gert, my 26 Touring, is ready to come out of the hanger for a test flight in another month or so. It’s been a hoot and I’ve enjoyed the whole process, even when things weren’t going right or I had to redo something 3 times before it worked out right. Co...

Re: Wood stove
Enjoy them while you can gentlemen. An extensive system of sensors have been installed all along the Wasatch Front here in Utah and when the poobahs decide, a no-burn day/night is posted. Apparently there is a Smokey Patrol out there somewhere and if you are burning wood ATT they detect it, you are ...

Rainwise Weather center display
OT - Rainwise weather center. Does anyone out there in Model T land (that makes it Model T related) happen to own a Rainwise MK III weather center? Mine recently bellied up and I’ve bought a new one. Since the new array on the roof is not compatible with my old display I've ended up with an extra di...

Re: OT Wyoming wind today
I firmly believe that no matter which direction I’m traveling in Wyoming, I’m going to be facing a headwind!! Stopped for fuel in Pocatello a few years back, another windy place and asked the guy at the gas station if it always blew there. He said that if it ever quit, half the people in town would ...
