Re: How do I fix that ??

You may have a real problem there. I don't know how those 2 screws and pin that hold the air damper could have fallen out. Refer to the choke/throttle assembly diagram in the above referenced link. If you do not still have all those 4 pieces, they are not available from Lang's. To reinstall the damp...

Vaporizer Display

After installing the Holley NH conversion kit from Lang's, I restored the Vaporizer and decided to keep it as a display piece. Attached is a picture. Also, if I ever sold the '27 Model T, then the new owner may need it if they wanted to go back to it for some reason. I was wondering which is more co...

Re: Has anyone used this LANGS vaporizer conversion part ?

You may or may not need the rod. The one they provided with the "kit" did not fit so I bent and reused the one I had on the vaporizer carb.

Re: Has anyone used this LANGS vaporizer conversion part ?

I recently installed it as part of the whole vaporizer to NH conversion kit that Langs offers. Attached are pics of the upper and lower ends. The upper is pretty straight forward. The lower is not. The tabs shown in the Langs picture did not come bent down and it took me a while to figure that out. ...

1927 Factory/Dealer Options

Does anyone have a document or link that details all the options that were available when ordering a Model T from the factory in 1927 as well as any options that may have been available to be installed by the dealer?

Re: Air Cleaner

There has been good information posted on this thread. It seems the clear majority would prefer to have an air cleaner installed. That has always seemed intuitive to me but I wanted to confirm it. The important factor seems to be that the filter surface area must be as large as possible and kept cle...

Re: Air Cleaner

Steve, Thanks for the details which I have documented in the attached. Your install is simple and mounts vertical and above the carburetor, which is what I prefer based on the warnings I have read concerning the possibility of flooding and soaking the filter. I will implement this as soon as I get a...

Air Cleaner

Is an air filter required for a 1927 with a Holley NH when used only for show, parades, etc.? If so, what model would fit because the intake/choke end does not seem to be designed to mount anything on and there is very little room from there to the transmission housing.

Starter Performance

The starter in my 1927 Roadster Pickup has always seemed weak ever since I purchased this restored pickup. In order to eliminate all the other factors, I installed the following items new and insured all the connections were clean and tight: 1) Optima Red Top 6V 800 CCA battery. 2) Langs heavy duty ...

Re: 1927 Roadster Pickup Spare Tire Carrier

Thanks for all the inputs. I am going to leave it where it is as that door would not be usable anyway. Guess Ford realized that fact when they offered an optional tire carrier mounted there to cover the door up! I did learn that the optional carrier hardware for the demount-able tire in pristine con...

Re: 1927 Roadster Pickup Spare Tire Carrier

You are correct. That is a major reason not to move it. The driver door would be difficult to use anyway...

1927 Roadster Pickup Spare Tire Carrier

My 1927 Roadster Pickup was apparently ordered with the running board spare tire mount. I'm not sure this was a great idea as it makes the driver side door useless. It would not be difficult to move the existing mount hardware to the inside of the bed on the passenger side close to the rear of the c...
