Metal tube stems
I just replaced a bad rubber stem on a model A tube with a new metal stem. My question is, do you need to put cement on the stem base ? I aired up the tube partially and did not see any bubbles around the washer. Was not sure how it would be with the proper air pressure.

Clincher rim and metal stems
I bought new rims and a set of blockly tires and tubes and have them all mounted up. The tubes have metal stems and my question is, do I need another nut to lock the stem to rim, or leave it float like a rubber stem?

I was recently told that Ford was making an anniversery new model T in 2003 and it was all new, and there were 200 made before the NTSB shut it down due to modern safety standards. Is this true or just hog wash?

Is it time for a new starter? The battery is full charge and when you push the starter button, it cranks slowly then picks up speed. Any ideas? All the connections are clean and tight.

I purchased a ecct tester last winter and it works very well, the dvd that comes with it is very informative as to testing and setting the points. it is very compact and easy to use. Just my 2 cents.
