Re: New Philly PA tour anyone?

Hi Chuck,
My wife Mary and I will be there with our 1911.We were on the last tour there. It is nice country.
You will love it.
Just go over your T, Lubricate it,put fresh oil in, check air in tires, check bands and adjust. You will make out just fine.

Re: Ethanol gas

Hi Wayne, I have never heard of the Ethanol gas doing what you said. I have a 1911 Ford Touring that I drive quite a lot. I use the Enzyme treatment and Marvel Mystery oil in the Ethanol Gas. I am also running a 5 ball carburetor. I had the original float in the 5 ball carb made out of brass. I keep...

Re: Mounting A Stubborn 30 x 3

Gentlemen, When I change a tire, I use a plastic bag on the wheel. I always work from the back of the wheel. I start by putting the tube in the tire with a liner and enough air in the tube to give it shape. I push the valve stem through the wheel and hold it with the valve stem holder that screws on...

Re: 1911 steering column

Art, I put the (5:1 ratio ) Steering Shaft and the pinion gear kit in my 1911 touring. It was a lot of work. The Steering Shaft was around 2" longer.I had to take it to a machinist and he made it fit. ( He made it to stock size ) He also did a little work on the steering quadrant to get the pinion g...

Re: Winter storage

Hi Trent,I use Prism Metal Polish, (www.prismpolish.com) to polish my 1911 touring's brass. I never cover the brass. My car is kept in a unheated garage over the winter. I usually put my car away right after Hershey. I may go for a few rides till it gets too cold.My brass holds well. I never cover i...

Re: HELP ... Loose Steering

Hi Hambrick, I had the same problem with my 1911 touring.I went over the whole front end. I finally decided to change the whole steering assembly to the 5:1 gear ratio. It was very expensive, but the outcome was well worth it. The driving and the control of the car is very good. I do a lot of tourin...

Re: Taking my 1911 Model T for a spin

Frank, That is a switch for turn signals and flashing lights on the back. It is made for a bicycle and it is wire less. It is easy to take off when I go to a car show.

Taking my 1911 Model T for a spin

I just returned from the Cookville Tour and my granddaughter's boyfriend made this video and posted it on YouTube. I wanted to take one last ride before I cleaned it up for Hershey.

Enjoy!

Larry, I agree with you. I do the same thing after every tour. ALWAYS A COUPLE OF BEERS !! I just got the red dirt off my car from the red dirt tour up at Prince Edward Island Canada , so I can get some of the Dirt from The tour down at Cookeville TN on it.

Re: MTFCI 2019 Red Dirt Tour

My wife, Mary and I did the red dirt tour in our 1911 touring. It was a wonderful experience. The routes were laid out perfectly. The scenery was beautiful. I was surprised that there was a Amish Settlement there. The hotel was nice, but I was shocked that they did not offer a small breakfast includ...

Hi Jack, Thank you for your information. It will be very helpful. What do you do with Canadian money,if you don't use it? I don't think that I will be crossing the border with 10K, HA-HA. Do you mean that I will have to pay duty on the case of beer that will be in my truck? Registration and insuranc...

Gentlemen, My wife Mary and I plan to attend the MTFCI tour in July up in Prince Edward Island. We have updated our passports. I will check with our insurance Company's for my truck and Model T to see what there policy is. I am a little confused on the money difference up there. I have heard that ou...
