Saw several dozen or so people that attended Chickasha in the past. It was good to see more vendors and customers arriving late than leaving early. Enjoyed it very much. This is a 28 Chevy which was almost identical to my Dad's first car. My grandpa paid $15 for it in 1940. 26 coupe in background. 2...

I drilled and tapped the outlet for the brass fitting. Some of the temp gauges come with 2 different size mounting fittings. I found a temp gage at O'Reillys with a black capillary tube which is not as noticeable for my other T.

Re: adjusting coils
Initially I purchased just the ECCT without the software. When I purchased the software, it made adjusting the coils easier and more precise. Later I got the Mag software. I would recommend purchasing all software. I have 2 I timers. They are fantastic and very cost effective.

As a boy in the 50s, I saw meter maids in Downtown LA use something very similar to Rich's picture.

Joe
Thanks so much for your quick response.
Mark Wing down in Albuquerque just told me the same thing. There is a small hole to side of the key hole on the skin which made me think there could be an escutcheon.
Thanks Rich for your response too and Picture.

The dog was just happy to be in the car. Now the ladies, that was a different story.
A little off topic, but the magneto test option on the ECCT software is real easy to use and very informative.

Re: Timer
I really like the I Timer. This past Saturday I drove my 27 Touring a total of 35 miles in 20 degree weather at an elevation of 7200 ft. My passengers were 2 ladies and a dog who were wrapped up in multiple blankets. Running ECCT tuned coils and an I Timer is the cat's meow.

But I have had new reflectors in the buckets with regular bulbs which are much brighter than the Touring. I have zip tied 2 Harbor Freight "freebie" work lights to the front bumper o...
