My question is about the cam surface on the pedal. Not the pedal support. Those can be bought new. I just get a better set of pedals out of the warehouse. But that is only going to last so long. I need to decide to keep the bad ones or just scrap them. I was hoping someone had come up with a solutio...

Re: Cams on Pedals
Thanks Allen but. Clutch aka high/low pedal has cam and slow speed notch inside and are both reproduced for US LHD cars.
It is the reverse and Brake pedal that have cams made in the pedal.
Easy way for brake is to get a Rocky Mountain brake pedal I guess.
Anyone found an easy for the other pedals?

Not sure if the brass reflectors are nickel plated. I have not looked at listing, but most states had a requirement that headlight reflectors had to be silver plated. You don’t say what size wheels these are.
If 30x3.5 demountable, there are many different manufacturers. Most rims will not interchange.

Sounds like the polarity is backwards.
I have seen this when the north south is reversed.
Just swap the + and - leads and try again.
Also striking the ground lead like a welding lead may help.
I see best results with 3 batteries, 36 volts.
Good luck.

Re: lapping valves
If you are running used lifters, cam , cam bearings and timing gears you should look into valve timing instead of by gap. Ford said to use that unless replacing everything.

Re: New KC Warford transmission question
More than likely it was because they could have a Ruckstell sitting there ready and Warfords took a lot more work.
What with cutting off the tube and driveshaft ect.

Re: New KC Warford transmission question
FYI. A little off topic, but.
I have an old ledger from a Ford dealership in Tn.
It list the cars people bought along with an item they bought.
Strange is when they added a Ruckstell there was no labor charge to install.
However, when they bought a Warfords there was a labor charge to install it.

Re: Magneto woes… turned into clutch disk woes...
I don’t see one either. But something made the scoop come off.
They don’t just fall off for the fun of it. Need to at least take cap off and check bearing. Check the cover and be sure not hitting something.

Re: Gasket application
Bill I have found that a big problem with these new gaskets is not leaking past them. It is leaking through them. Like a wick on kerosene lamp. I coat them on all sides with gasket sealer. It soaks in and helps stop that. Then RTV, but that stops what you are trying to accomplish. Just what I have f...

Here are both halves on a rear axle carrier. They are NOS. That means New Old Stock. These came out of a Ford dealer in the 1950’s. Not reproduction, not aftermarket. Real deal. See pictures. $125 + shipping. Email me by forum. Dan IMG_4383.jpeg IMG_4384.jpeg IMG_4385.jpeg IMG_4386.jpeg IMG_4387.jpeg

Re: Magneto woes… turned into clutch disk woes...
Willy needs to look up what happens when something hangs on a model T magnet and wipes out the mag coils! Or when a clutch hangs up or explodes. Lot cheaper now than after that happens. But, you got by lucky on that piece that fell pass the magnets already. If that had been me I’d be replacing magne...

Re: How do I Remove This Gear ?
Why remove it? If axle is bad enough to remove gear, saw the axle off. Leaving a short piece, press it in, remove keepers, press out the other direction. Than install gear on good axle. Sawed off axle becomes a stake for garden, horseshoe pit. Can’t sell to circus, they want ones with gears on them ...

They all run fine till they don’t.
And they always don’t at the best time.
My Roadster was running the best it ever had right before I broke a crank. Right in front of High Meadow campground in Hershey. First day of the meet.

Re: Magneto woes… turned into clutch disk oes...
Willy: short answer NO.
Those big disc are the reproduction. Maybe they have fixed the problem????? I don’t know.
400 disc need the right hub, you got one?
Far as I know not being made right now.
Do you have the thing apart yet? Do you know what is in it? Is that the real problem?

Re: Magneto woes… turned into clutch disk oes...
When I say bad luck, I installed a couple sets in customer engines. Had a great neutral. Few miles later no neutral. Pulled down, disc were all warped.
Now that was a few years ago, problem May have been fixed.
But once burned, twice something?

I only know of the two makes of “offset spindles “ Not to be confused with the Ford drop spindles of 26/27 fame. I have only had one pair of real Rajo, they had the name forged into them. However, Rajo ads from back in the day, they showed no such markings. Offset spindles are supposed to make the s...

Re: Magneto woes…
Pull the screen and look at drums.
Also pull the bottom cover and see what took out the dipper.
When you go back, don’t use reproduction clutch disc. Never had any luck with them. Go with 400 disc and original large disc.
If you have to replace brake drum get one with replacement lugs.
