Hank, Thanks for the kind words. The car really is a great car all around. I know a lot of Model T guys are all about saving money. Meanwhile, i am working on a new top and front bow for my 13 Touring. Here it is in disassembled state. The front bow on this car had just about crumbled to dust. The firewall was in similar condition. I worry a bit about the rest of the wood in this car as a result of these discoveries. 44903.jpeg

I had mine done in 2006 and have used the car quite a bit since. It's time to do them again now.

I drove the 26 Touring a bit today. Only in Michigan can you wake up to snow on the ground and go for a T ride in thr afternoon.
Meanwhile the Eyre Torpedo continues to look more like a car. Today the painted hood was installed for the first time.

My 13 Dash. Thanks Gord! I have been trying to decide if I will make it look "weathered " to match the rest of the car or factory new. Right now I am leaning towards new.

The hood slipped right on the Eyre Torpedo. It's only two inches longer than standard but it looks lick much more than that. And oh what a wonderful optical illusion it is!

I had a fiber gear in my 26 and found it perhaps 30 percent gone after about 4 years of use. It was replaced with an aluminum gear which subsequently (11 years in) has shown no appreciable wear. I will never again use a fiber gear.

I couldn't agree with Larry any more. Last week my youngest daughter asked me for a "rattle trap car" ride. The closest car to the door was my completely stock 26 Touring.
