Speedster - "Fronty Pete"'s Old Article on Evolution of Fronty and RAJOs

In light of the recent "What is it " post trying to ID that head/engine, I thought you speedsters might like to review the article Pete Schumach wrote years ago; it still has a lot of good info in it:

I suspect people just Google "cranking a model" with the hope they'll get porn? Instead, they got you starting your car. Imagine their disappointment..

Re: That insane craving for speed !

Since it's in Lewiston Idaho, having spent a lot of my youth and the area, in all likelihood they were racing up or more likely down the Lewiston "Grade" on the highway. The highway drops about 2,500 feet in 5 miles so you can probably see how fun that would be. You have to go down pretty slow or yo...

Use half inch conduit tubing that is sliced lengthwise and slip cut tube over the straight metal edge and tack weld the tube on. Much faster and cleaner than tapping out a wire edge with a hammer.

My friend in Calif said he made some weed brownies last year in his manifold cooker. Said it worked out well because after eating them everyone on the tour was too afraid to drive over 25 mph. LOL

35 V8 truck grille is a one-off part. You'd be better off searching over at the hot rod HAMB website than here, it's a great website if you are not familiar. Some V8 hot rodder will have it. No one has that modem stuff here... https://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/threads/1935-ford-1-2-ton-pickup-gril...

I told DMV my 1915 roadster was a 1-door and my 15 touring was a 3-door. And I insisted I was correct. That really confused them!!

Yes get an exacto knife and take off a chip; they can scan it and match it exactly. No use to use the old forumala charts anymore...

My 28 A pickup has Rock Moss green body and fenders, which is a carryover from the improved coupes and maybe the two-door sedans as well, I'm not sure on that I've never had a rock moss green 26 or 27 two-door sedan.. The 28 A pickup Rock moss green color looks like that, even though it's hard to te...

Re: Proud Egyptian with his speedster

You know, you're right, I bet that car was put together from parts from the British expeditionary force in Egypt, Palestine, and all over that area from about 1915 to about 1920? I forget what the problem was, I think the Ottomans or somebody attacked the British in Egypt. I do remember the story a ...

That's definitely a first generation Man Cave. Maybe the first one ever?? Great car, all those girls, liquor, and a huge Teddy Roosevelt poster... I'd guess this guy was a rough rider, so to speak.

Re: Severe Smoke Damage to T

I do a lot of fire claims, and the smoke that's on your car will prove to be extremely corrosive. You may have already concluded that by seeing that the nickel plating on your headlights is now ruined. This will happen to the rest of your metal electrical components although cleaning them as soon as...
