My 26 project came with a 12 volt pertronix in the distributor but I would love to run the rest of the car on 6 volt to protect the starter. Is this even remotely possible?

Has any forum reader tried and run a Swan carburetor, notably a Swan A-1-F model? It is an updraft carburetor and would normally be used with a Swan combination intake/exhaust manifold, but I guess could be used with any updraft intake, even a Model A. Were they considered an economy or a performance carburetor?

I have a Paterson speedo drive which has a spiral bronze gear inside the transmission and has a special transmission cover plate. I need a replacement fibre gear that goes on the end of the shaft and is driven by the spiral gear. Does anyone have/know of a source for same?

I thought I was done with my disk brake project on my 26 Touring but have a lingering question.

The hose from the remote reservoir is a bit long and I let the hose droop a little below the level of the master cylinder in the routing. Seems to make no difference and the system bled ok. Do you think this will create a problem?

What piece fits in the bottom channel of windshield frame to hold the glass on a 1927 coupe? What would be the part number in Snyder's or Lang's catalog? I have looked but can't ID it.

I am posting three photos of the windshield frame on the coupe. I need suggestions on how to remove and replace the rubber. It appears it is going to be quite difficult. I need help!

It looks like the same rubber piece is on the horizontal and vertical parts of the frame. I have ordered the material from one of the suppliers.

These old shoes don't look familiar to me, are they correct? Anyway they are getting replaced.

The generator has been gone through. It motors when voltage is applied, but dose not charge. Third brush is set to neutral I’m thinking it needs to be flashed? Replaced the tank, sediment bulb, fuel line and replaced the five ball carburetor. Just checking off the to-do list before I put the T up for winter. It soon will be very cold in my detached garage.

Using stock axles, we are running into a binding issue with the parking brakes when everything is pulled up tight.
The edge of the drums are going past the backing plate by 3/32 to 1/8 inch overhang, and cant be rotated without a lot of force.
I had to beveled edge of the lining along with reducing the thickness to even get drums/rotors on....
