I found this tool, with Model T parts, I purchased last week.
The name on the side is very faint but it appears to be ( New Britain VL-200 ).
Any clue, what it is?

What is new to my T is that it sputters under acceleration (even on level ground).

I picked up a lamp at Chickasha but then tried to get the brass cap off and the underside bolt disintegrated. Is this salvageable somehow?

Hi all, I've misplaced an original fender eye bolt, Lang's is back ordered and I need to improvise something quick. Is there a particular size hardware store eye bolt that works? I can heat it and pound it flatter then grind a bit off to make it fit.

I need to mount the Stewart gear on the wheel of my 1911. Has anyone made a tool to center the gear on the wheel? Would someone have one I can borrow? Thanks, Art

How difficult will it be to return to a conventional commutator from a distributor? Is it simply removing the distributor and alternator and installing a generator and timer along with new wiring and coils and coil box?

After fixing his leaky freeze plug early this morning. He cruised into Indiana and is camped in Huntington Ind. this evening. Car ran fine few extra stops to check water oil and gas. He’s in good spirits and hopes to be in Dearborn tomorrow afternoon.

Recently up graded from a 1923 Touring to a 1914 Touring. The 1914 has side lamps made by The Victor Lamp Co. I have been attempting to remove the font on the lamps to add oil, but will be damned if I can figure out how to do so. Any help would be appreciated.

Just noticed this myself but if any of you people get the Motortrend channel Roadkills Engine Masters (Dave Freiberger and Steve Dulcich) will be Dino testing engines for rotating mass. Less weight to rotate is the title. It’s on at 8:30 tonight. Might give some solid info on cast iron vs aluminum.

This isn't my ad and it isn't my car, and since I live in a single-room urban apartment (unfortunately) it isn't going to be my car. (Not a member of a local T club & have no place to work on it. Yay college?) But at $1200 it might make a nice project and the coupes are really cute.

Does anybody know if the brake equalizer kits for a large drum can be fitted to a RHD car?
If so do you just invert the system or does it require modification.

I just joined the Historical Society here in Klamath Falls, OR and one of the first things I did was to contact the folks at the County Museum to see if there might be any information on who the Ford agent was in 1914, the year my Touring car was built. I have been cleaning a lot of main bearing cap bolts from motors which were disassembled and I discovered that there are two lengths of bolts for the #1 and #2 bearing caps. Some are 5 5/8 long and some are 6 1/8 long. I have a 24 block and it will take the long bolts. Can anyone tell me what year the change in the bolt lengths was made?

I changed out the fan hub to a ball bearing model because the hub was slinging grease out over the hood & wooden hood clash strips. It works great, no more messy grease. Anyone ever see a flywheel like this? Has 4 of these, each 90 degrees from each other. Ring gear has same but a counterbore to fit the raised sleeve. Have not tried to see if the “sleeve “ is removable. Does any one know.

It is time to put the brass trim on the firewall. How to bend the pictured sold brass half oval at a 90 degree? I have read several places to do not heat it that it will break. I am thinking of just putting it into a vise and bending it, will that work? Is there a better way?

I need to replace just my brake band. I drive in an urban area with lots of stop signs and brake lights so the band suffers. With removable ears, can I replace the brake band without removing the others through the access door? When I try, the new band ends up riding over the reverse and jams up.

Does anyone know who makes the 12 volt alternator that is a direct replacement for the gear-driven six volt generators on later Model T's? I know the vendors sell them but wonder who they get them from?

Has anyone used the 80 grit Timesaver? I've used the 60 grit, which works fast, and the 100 grit which takes awhile. It seems to me the 80 grit would be the way to go, but haven't used it.

The tall base has Ford script with PN T 7316 A1.
The small one is not Ford, however, has the same part number barely legible of PN T 7316 A1.

Same part number different height? What do these go to? What gives?
