I picked this up at a swap meet today. I've never seen a wheel like this. Made by Stout's Manufacturing Co in New York. Anybody have any Information on these steering wheels? Any idea what year the column is? It has the early riveted case.

I plan to re-babbitt some camshaft bearings for my next projects. I have a nice jig to pour the babbitt and tool to create a nice round OD on the cast halves.
Now I have ran out of stock on bearing halves that are long enough to satifsy the overall length (end thrust) requirements.
For the next batch I will need to create the new thrust surface...

What is the difference between a cut-out and a voltage regular for generators?

Next question about our 22 Touring. It doesn’t seem like it gets up to more than about 10 mph in low gear, and then wants to bog down when shifting to high. Could the band on low gear be the problem - either too tight or not tight enough ? Is this a two pronged issue? TIA.

T gen motors when attaching pos lead to gen terminal and neg lead to housing. New fun products third brush plate and regulator cutout and no charge. Even ran a jumper across the cutout and still no charge. suggestions?

I know there are people on the forum who know the trick to get the headlight gasket to stay in place long enough to get the lens and outer ring in place. I'm thinking about small dabs of silicone on the gasket to hold it on the reflector. I had also thought of hoisting the front bumper up high enough for the rear end to almost touching the ground....

I have just pulled the engine apart. I never turned it over when I got the car as u didn't know the condition of the engine. I have pulled the pistons out and when I rotate the crankshaft the camshaft seems to touch the bearings. What do I need to do to adjust the backlash if that's what the problem is?

Cleaned up the engine to get ready for my Z head. Does everything look okay? I've never had my engine's head off before. Looks like some overhauled the engine at least before I got it.

I’m starting the restoration of this tester and was wondering about how this pin is removed. I know I can drive it out but without a hole in the other side how do I drive it back in? It’s not like a crank pulley with a hole on both sides.

My friend has a generator that is questionable. It has a John Regan voltage regulator but he's not sure of it's mechanical condition.
1.) Who near Michigan would be a good choice to rebuild it, and
2.) What would it take to convert it to 12 volts?

I wonder if anyone has any experience comparing the operation and performance of a Holley G versus a Holley NH carb? I hear many people say that the NH is one of the best carbs ever made for the T while others praise the G. I have a nice G on my '17 and just bought an NH to try. I'm curious what to expect. Note, both carbs are Russ Potter rebuilds.

I just today noticed a piece of small-diameter rubber hose on the choke control wire, the purpose of which, I assume, is to prevent the wire from falling through the slot in the firewall. This seems kind of shade-tree to me, so I was wondering if I’m missing a part here? I’ve been told I have a Holley NH carburetor, if that makes any difference....

Whaddya think? Is this manifold a little warped? Easy to straighten, right?

I know about the slow moving vehicle signs in the US that are an orange triangle, but have never seen the signs that are used in this video.
What do you think of them? An unfamiliar driver might not know about the triangular ones. ( They should though.)

Been fighting a leaking Warford trans that leaks out the the rear more than the owner would like. This can be resolved in a Muncie by using sealed ball bearings. Has anyone tried using sealed ball bearings in a Warford instead of taperd roller bearings?
