I have a Holley G that idles lean. It is brass with a steel bowl. If I open the adjustment a little you can get it to run pretty well at low RPMs. But accelerating and driving it’s too rich. I bought a 1919 roadster recently. One I picked it up, I noticed some interesting details on the Body.

The back of the cab seems to simply cut off, and there is a point on the side that looks like it was welded on. It also doesn’t seem to have spacers under the turtle trunk.

Anyone ever encounter a higher ratio T than 3:1? I found an period ad (1920)for a T with Rajo and 2.5:1 diff.

Hi, this 1915 rear lamp door probably isn't original and doesn't close all the way without forcing it then it pops right back open. I think the tang on the hinge isn't long enough. The brass door itself seems to be the right size. It also does not have a clasp at the top. Suggestions on how to get this to work are much appreciated.

My 26 T had the transmission rebuilt many years ago. I'm finally getting to the restoration. I would occasionally crank the engine over the years. Now I had it on jacks and when I crank a wheel turns. Off the jacks and it won't roll. Something is locking it up in gear. Any suggestions on cause and how to fix? Thanks in advance. :)

Two babbitt washers and other real axel parts. Makes me think that bronze washers were put in place. But I have trust issues and I'm going to pull the rear apart and look for myself.

On my 1926 Ford Model T coupe the throttle lever slips down making an unwanted acceleration especially if I have hit a bump. The notches where the lever is supposed to click in are almost worn smooth. How do I fix it?

A friend of mine found this shears looking tool but nobody seems to know what it is or what it was used for. The stamp is - USMC HKP 1945 - on the blade.

I have been chasing an idling issue for several weeks. I thought I had identified the cause - an intake manifold leak. The engine stumbled/died if carb cleaner was sprayed at the either intake port. I replaced the manifold gland/copper ring gaskets and cured the problem associated with the front port but not the rear. I have had the manifold off...

I've never had an Anderson or other flapper. Can you set timing the same way you do with a roller or brush timer (turn until you get a buzz, then back off a hair)? I don't expect to change timers, but if somebody asks I don't want to give them wrong information.

When sitting in an intersection for about 3 minutes in 90 degrees weather, steam starts to come out of my overflow tube. It that bad? Also, are there any better fan options? Mabey a steeper pitch, or even electric fan, although electric is not prefered.

My 1926 car has been running well with the Motometre showing the red just below the little window. All of a sudden a few days ago it started pushing the Motometre thermomoter to the very top. I am about to buy my first Model T. I want a nice bright flashing red light for the back before I take it out on the busy streets. Can anyone recommend a good one? I don't care if it has it's own battery or if it's hard wired to the car battery (not sure if six or twelve volts)

I saw three Warfords the other day. One was slighlty larger, and had a removeable plate on one side, possibly for a PTO. It says Plant No 1 Syracuse New York on the side with the plate. The other side says Warford with patent information and the company address with a number 920-1 .

how effective is evaporust at cleaning out a block?

I filled my radiator up almost to the top and have been driving it for about an hour and a half today. I was climbing some hills in low and the radiator started blowing out a lot of steam through the overflow tube. Is that a problem?

Should I get magnetic blinkers? If so what type? And will they stay on with with vibration?

How do I adjust my brake pedal?

I finally was able to piece together the radiator cap that I have been really wanting.
The question is;
Is there enough exposed Motor Meter to read?
I'm thinking the rubber piece should be right at the threaded cap.
So the rubber piece should be moved.
Am I right or is it ok where it is?

I am replacing the front axle on my 1910 Touring with the correct one-piece spindle type. At some point back in time a newer front axle was put on the car. My question is, how many leafs should the 1910 have? The newer axle on it now has 8. Seven tapered and one (the smallest one) not tapered. the springs that came with the one-piece axle has 7....

The top on my 1914 touring is in pretty good shape but the pads are shot. Some parts suppliers carry the pads. The pads are attached under the top material, as I understand it. I really don’t want to remove the top to install the pads. Is there another way?

My car idles pretty good for the most part, but I notice that on hot idle, it will idle smoother if I open the dash adjustment a little past what does best for running on the road. I just rebuilt the engine in my 1915 runabout. It has a slight miss starting at almost exactly 40 mph. Up until that speed it runs perfectly. I am using a roller Tiger timer. Does anyone think that may be the problem? I’ve heard of roller bounce. Does that seem like a reasonable explanation?

It is listed as a Weidenhoff HCCT but it looks to be an original Ford unit.
The Weston meter is missing.
The Weidenhoff nameplate and small meter are incorrect.
It is an interesting unit. :D

I have 2 tapered rear leaf springs, one is apart and I don’t know if it all goes together.
The main leaf shows signs of a square leaf had been riding on it, so it probably isn’t correct. It measures 34.5”X 2”
The rest seem to line up, but not sure about the curled one.
I have to get a picture of the other one yet, but it looks correct.

An awesome car museum is being built, and should open this year, in Cartersville, GA. They posted this pic and said it was taken in our town in 1908. Museums are about education and there may be an opportunity to help nail down a possible year of this picture a little more accurately as there appear to be later model T’s in the photo.
