Does anyone know how to make the ECCT software full on the screen. The right hand side is cut off, and the mouse will not expand it. I have tried different screen resolutions and that doesn't help.

If your laptop has an external monitor port (probably VGA, maybe HDMI) then you can connect a monitor or perhaps your TV if it has a VGA or HDMI port. But you will need the appropriate data cable.

I finally laid my hands on the truck body plans I've had since 1995. I had tore my basement apart for a week searching for them. Thank the Gods they were in a bookcase upstairs. LOL They are of a Hudson Wagon Works truck copyrighted in 1981. It has full length doors for the passenger compartment...

David, if that is a problem, it would probably be OK to leave the Blockley nut in place, fit a bridge washer and then run the second not up to hold it in place. Even the junk bridge wsahers without the ridge would work. The fitting would then be like normal.

I actually found the Daimler cat mascot on the World Wide Interweb via an exhaustive Google search. Apparently it was an overpriced option that few Daimler owners went for at the time. The cat mascot made vision a problem even though it clearly was a status symbol!

Does anyone know anything about a Jim Wade regrind cam? I have one my stuff in a box marked “ Jim Wade regrind .255 lift”.
Nothing on cam it self. Just has that on box. An info would be helpful.

I know what the .255 lift means, just want to know if cam is any good grind wise.

Post a picture. If the heel is ground back into the minor shaft diameter it is likely a poor quality regrind.

Hi All,
I just finished restoring a cowl fuel tank and a sediment bowl, but when I screw in the bowl, it stops in the upside down position. This is after using teflon tape first, then trying thread sealer.
The threads seem good to me; I've cleaned them out with an angled pick. What are my options?
Should I use teflon tape, thread sealer, plumbers...

Do any years/styles have more driver leg room for us tall guys? A couple of years ago, I rebuilt my Ruxtell rear axle using new hubs, axles, and keys from Langs. These parts were made to perfection, but fit together so well that now I cannot get the rear wheels off. I tried the screw-on puller in the photo, but it had no effect other than starting to damage the axle threads. No real harm done, but no joy...

I once had a wheel I could not get off with either of the tools shown.

I ended up backing off the nut a couple of turns (so it was loose but not falling off) and then driving the car a little making tight turns both left and right.

That worked when nothing else would.

So I have some thoughts after some observations with my e-brake cam position as it relates to the lever position @ various positions.

The last picture is the cam when my lever is set @ 12 O'clock or neutral, looks to be level @ 9 & 3, brake lining relaxed approx 10 1/2

Looking at your axle key. It appears in the photos, that end of the key, adjacent to the threads, is tapered. If that's true, then the key is installed upside down and backwards. The squared off end should be adjacent to the threads, and the tapered side should be facing down , to allow clearance for the shallowing of the keyway, as it approaches...

The seal's neoprene ring (A) has to fit over the slightly larger #3050 cam gear lock nut (B). How do you get it over the nut without wrecking it? I'm sure several people here have done this.

Should also smear a film of black oil resistant RTV around the outer rim of it prior to inserting. Holds it in place, and also

The weather today reminded me of tours we held at Indian Springs near American Falls, ID. Starting in 1968 we continued them into the 80s and perhaps beyond. Though the photos are fuzzy they show the Ts that attended and I remember what fun the first several were.

Here s another new weird one. Today a T was stopped at a light behind another T. Back T engaged & moved forward into the front T with his foot still on the brake. We stopped for a look. Oddly, with the T stopped (parking brake on) Full brake petal engagement I can hear the tripple gears start to grumble. ???? That makes no sense.

Especially if it’s a ‘26/‘27. Seems to be way more common on them. Most of them I’ve seen were real gnarled forgings inside. They break in a spiral on both sides from the corners of the keyway, thru the mid-point oil hole, down to the drum.

Valves, seats and rings. Done on a previously running engine, by a guy well known for quality work.

Put on new intake manifold gaskets, shoot some 30 or 40 wt oil into the combustion chamber, replace the plugs and immediately pull the car with another auto. You have low compression which is not pulling in fuel.

I have 2 used 1914-15 fenders. In preparation for painting one has been paint stripped and wire wheeled to get paint and surface rust off, then Metal Prep phosphoric acid treatment to keep them from flash rusting. That is the white residue seen in the picture. Flash rusting occurs quickly in hot, humid, Houston if you don't coat with something....

After 4-5 hours its bubbly and has been effective so I wash the sheet metal with a cup of the wife’s Arm n Hammer in water depending on how many sheet metal pieces I have to neutralize. Three small brass pins are pressed into the case and bezel to hold the bezel in place. The holes in the bezel must line up with the holes in the case.

Hi, I made a mistake I broke my new ADJUSTABLE Modern Drive Shaft Pinion Bearing... when I tried to installed it. Do I need to buy another one Or I could keep it as is and using more sealant with the boken piece. The good news the failure do not affect the hole were the bolts are. Any thoughts ? Thank you.

Things have been working good with adjustments to the new bands and proper link angle, very little oil weeping around the hogs head and pedal shafts with the new gaskets.

So after another good long ride breaking in the new bands I went around and tightened the split rims to the wheels and noticed the right rear drum was a lot hotter than the left...

This weekend I needed to select 2 outer sleeves for a rux kit build. Of the assorted new sleeves I have, I found quite a bit of variation. One set was .o62 shorter than the others. The thickness varied from .060 to .070
I ended with the .070 thick to use with .004-.006 under roller roller bearings (I have conidered .005 under too worn to reuse....

For the carburetor end, bend the wire about 80 degrees in toward the carburetor, and go about 3/16 in, and then straighten it out again. Cut the wire about 1/4 past that.

I'm planning to mount a Sparton horn on the long radiator to firewall rod over the engine on my 26 Touring. Some said this may not be good for the radiator. I have a Berg's radiator and will mount horn as close to the firewall as I can. Has anyone ever had any issues when you mounted a horn in this manner? Not speculation but had something bad...

Neither the body on my 1919 touring nor the top bows on my car are original. They both were pieced together, and I did all the wood work myself, so the measurements may be slightly off. With that disclaimer out of the way:

I just replaced the sediment bulb and gas line. Primed the engine using the front crank. Then started the car, runs for about 20-30 seconds and cuts off but I'm not sure if I hear a knock. What do you think?

If it sounds ok I think my next step is to clean out the carb.

I have '26 headlights. Switching from Bright to Dim makes no difference in light output or beam focus. I run outside oil lines religiously. Usualy one Mag. post and one hogs head plus the large funnel inside. I no longer use the copper line, I use steel line.

I was driving my old Corolla on Stanley Street in New Britain, Connecticut today--Sunday afternoon--and saw a Model T. It was a black T, not brass & not Improved Ford, with two brass rings on the headlights & natural wood spokes on the wheel. Body style was regular touring but the top was down.

Initially I purchased just the ECCT without the software. When I purchased the software, it made adjusting the coils easier and more precise. Later I got the Mag software. I would recommend purchasing all software. I have 2 I timers. They are fantastic and very cost effective.

After reinstalling my 4th main I realized I need to put a helicoil in the pan. The bottom left bolt is loose. Of course the radius rods are in the way of a drill. Any way I can do the drilling without having to remove the rear axle?

Photo is identified as 1928, Gilmore, Idaho .
What are those items protruding from the front of the car ? Right front fender has a fatigue split. Lot of rough road there.

No more than $400.00. Radiator shell may be good enough to clean up and use along with the cowl, maybe. The engine may not be cracked. T’s have been built up with parts like these and turned out pretty good but as the old saying goes “one mans trash is another mans treasure”.

Nick. This unit that you describe may be similar to the Startix unit that was on a 1932 Essex that I had. It would engage the starter as soon as the key was turned on, disengage it when it sensed generator output and re-engage if the car stalled. Here is some info

I just noticed there is a missing bolt on the top of my rebuilt 1927 timing cover. It is a large diameter, fine thread bolt. It was installed before rebuild but now can't find it and need to order a replacement bolt but do not know that to order. Would appreciate guidance from those in the know.
