For those who are planning to go to the swap meet from southern California. The news says they are evacuating Castaic because of a brush fire. I haven't heard whether I-5 has been closed or not, however it would be a good idea to check in advance before leaving for Tulare in case you need to take a different route.

i have some mystery connecting rods to identify ... they are the same dimensions as Model T , EXCEPT for the wrist pin ... the photos will show that detail ... all other dimensions are the same as Model T ...the wristpin is bushed with bronze bushing .750 diameter ...

This is a Made in Canada engine. Who can tell me a date based on the serial number and also tell me what the 1229 on the side means. Obviously pre-starter but an exact date??? Ribbed pedals.

My 6 volt turn signal kit came with a ticking flasher that I can't hear. So I added an electronic beeper that works great and is loud. The problem is that the BEEP is a bit obnoxious. Is there an add-on TICK-TOCK noise maker that I can replace the BEEPER with?

At Chickasha I made several brass acquisitions for Hay Wagon to speedster project. These are pictures of the very brass T at Chickasha. That is a lot of brass. So how does one keep all that brass shiny? Does it tarnish? How do you get into the tight spaces to keep it shining? How often does re-polishing have to be done?

My used model T front fenders have a rubber strip between the fender and the frame. I am told on good authority that T's did not have them A's did. I think it is probably ok and maybe beneficial to do them. Is there a preferred one? Are these ok?

For the last couple months, I've been thinking about you either purchasing or making a manifold cooker. Since the assembled ones are out of my price range, I just had to make one. The picture should explain themselves, but feel free to ask questions. The total cost was 3 dollars and some rivets and steel angle iron.

Hi all,
Do I have to remove the spindle arm in order to ream out the new spindle arm bushing that I pressed in. I have a machinist trying to work on reaming out the bushing and he's having trouble. Thanks for any help.

If your car has black centers on the hubcaps, and the paint has worn off in spots, an easy fix is a Sharpie marking pen. It's easy to go around the letters with one, and it blends right in. If you go onto a letter, it will polish right off.

Anyone have a RUSK autohouse made in Fargo ND? I would like to get one to restore and keep my T in it.

I have an old Allen HCCT. When I try to test a coil, I am only getting about 3 volts at 1.3 amps. Is this probably a symptom of weak magnets?

After almost 2 years of restoration I decided to start my 26TT. It took awhile and had to really rich the carb to get it started. It runs fine at idle but when the throttle is advanced it spits, sputters and backfires. Advancing the spark doesn't seems to help much. I tried lean until it almost died but so far I haven't found the right...

I did not know this. The first seven years the Globetrotters existed they were driven around the Midwest in a Model T, with Abe Saperstein driving. Six players in a Model T must have been a tight fit.

Did Ford ever cut X oil groves in T rods? My thinking is the X gives the oil a path in —-but it also gives the oil a path out under pressure. And I’m thinking the surface area of the bearings is greatly diminished leading to a shortened rod life.

Shudders when low pedal is depressed when starting out at proper spark and throttle lever positions.
Lunges and wavers at high gear, smooths out only at full throttle at proper spark lever position. Full throttle too fast and risky for certain road conditions.

I am starting a pie wagon project and plan to have interior lighting which will recuire 12 volt system. I have read the posts suggesting that running 12 volts to the starter is hard on the flywheel and ring gear. My question can I have my 6 volt starter converted to 12 volts and if so would the converted starter be as hard on the fly wheel?

Curious whether any early 1909 Tourings were detailed with Black accents the way the Red Touring was. This would be seen on the fender and body welts, as well as the door frames. Hard to tell from some original photos where even the red body pin stripes are difficult to see.

I have a frame that appears to be a '25 ( only 2 rivets on on hand brake pawl ) It has a serial number C726397, does the C indicate Canadian? Also the front crossmember is located on top of the side rail instead of above, and the side rail is stepped to allow for this. Can anybody shed some light on this ?

Yes it look's real easy on the several you-hou videos, the muscles in the middle of my back are still sore and I did this monday. That was probably the hardest thing I had to do to this T. After the cover was on it was real fun to line up all those bolt holes.

Lowering the cover and trying to keep the darned clutch release ring from rolling...

Anyone have a Seng Steering Wheel that could let me know how to get the horn ring working? I'm pretty sure I have a missing part that is right below the wheel that contacts the horn ring.. There has to be a sliding part that contacts the ring on the wheel.
