23 Roadster..Does the coil box lid secure the coils in any way? I don't have a lid for mine, and had a coil loose connection at the bottom contact. That made me wonder if a lid would have prevented this from happening. That being said, does anyone have a slant style coil box lid for a 23 roadster? Thanks..Tommy.

I am planning to prep and paint my car soon. My original paint plan was Windsor maroon. does anyone here have pictures of model ts with that color? also, i am going to paint the fenders and running boards black.

When I took these apart to get re-lined seemed the first pictured narrow band for reverse had the two straight slot ears and the second narrow band for slow speed had the two rivets. Does it matter which narrow band goes on the related drums, any input would be great.

My low speed jet is loose and rattles off set point. I was tired after running new engine in today in the shop. Collar seems to be loose that the jet sets in. I will take it apart tomorrow but figured I would ask tonight. High speed is fine. How is resistance held against the screw?

I am just now getting to the water pump on my 08 model SR. The water pumps were built into the radiator similar to the first 2500 T's, but ran off a gear mounted on the flywheel which is on the front of the engine. I took a pair of 14 windshield hinges apart to clean them up and found what looks like brass plating on the screws and nuts that hold hinges together. Spring inside the hinges looks to have copper plating on it. Has anyone ever seen that? Dan

Model Ts from clubs are on a tour to the Joshua Tree area in Southern Cal. During the day, by the way the weather was just perfect, we saw several wrecked cars but no Model Ts. The only Ts were the seven cars on the tour.

Carb runs great on new engine start, but dribbling a little fuel from the passage screws. They were a little loose but don’t want to snug them in until I ask. A friend just bought a Model T speedster with buffalo wheels. He feels the caps are in bad condition, so he would like to replace these with better ones. Does anyone repop these or do we need to advertise for originals? I don't see them in any of my catalogs. What is a fair price? Are there left and rights? I am not a speedster guy, so this is new...

So when I went to hook up my Radious rod it didn't line up. I'm thinking that I have to jack up the frame of the car to allow the front suspension hang and line it up that way. Am I missing something?

So my steering wheel key seemed to be loose. It looks like it is tapered like a wedge. so I ordered anew one and it won't fit when the wheel is on the pinion.

On the 26/27 coupe, roadster, touring, and tudor, which side of the firewall should the steering column flange mount ? I've looked over quite a few pics on the net and it seems both ways are quite common. I believe on the pre 26 models they all mounted to the inside (passenger side) of the firewall.

Hay wagon to Speedster project is a 1926-27 frame with a 1915 theme. Also it's builder has limited knowledge. Questions:

1) Will a Lang's 3640C firewall bracket work ok on a old style wood firewall with a 1926-27 frame without drilling or modifying?

Has anyone had any luck soldering a loose terminal bolt to the buss bar without removing it form the buss bar to clean it? How have you been repairing them without replacing the assembly.

I'm just a 17 year-old kid who repairs antiques, listens to early jass, and wants a T. All of these attributes made me want to repair an old gramophone, pick up some '10s and '20s jass/jazz records, and fall in love with one of the records, Henry's Made a Lady Out of Lizzie.

Mine has a bit of wear under the pillow blocks. I might try to find a better one.
