Which is correct?

They are all freshly rebuilt

I've got a 17-25 coil box that was on a starter equipped T (no switch on the front of the box). I am pretty dead-set on wiring it as a non-starter equipped, electric headlight T. I've finally found the proper wiring diagram, which leaves me a little confused.

At least during the peak production years of the twenties I assume Highland Park ran three shifts, 24/6 (always closed on Sunday). Is that right? If so, was graveyard shift production counted as the last of one day, or the first of the next day? In other words, did they start counting at midnight, or at 8:00 AM?

In the classifieds one of the members was looking for a specific brand of Ford supplied generator to fit the holes in his running board. Wouldn't the mounting hole spacing be the same on all generators supplied as original equipment and installed on Ford cars if the holes were punched in the running boards? How can you tell a starter housing (The large barrel shaped part with the coils and pole shoes mounted on it) from a generator housing? They look identical, but I would not think they are interchangeable. Any tips?

I am putting a 6 volt alternator in my 21 touring. In looking in Lang’s catalog they list a separate ammeter for use with a alternator. Will the one in my switch plate work or will I to change it?

So far as I know (and I could be wrong), only the 1915 had ribbed pedals, all those preceding them had lettered pedals and all those after 1915 had smooth pedals, so 1915 is sort of an odd man out. I purchased the new style timer seal. Lubed the rubber portion and installed it. The seal just pushed on. I didn't need to tap it at all. The seal spins with the cam. I needed a new drive shaft, a couple of axles and a Fun Projects modern pinion bearing assembly for a Ruckstell project. I placed the order and had all of the parts sitting on my doorstep in KY in three days. The packing was the best I have seen and the parts are correct for this application.

Here number 2 I am not sure of. It is 3.5 OD, 2 and 1/8” ID, about 9/16” thick. The number TT 1040 is a guess.

I got a set of 6 volts original wires that i got at a flea market Question Was these wires wrapped with asbestos they have a heavy wrap ,looks like a cloth , i set a flame to the strands and they burn like cloth , but will like to be sure on the asbestos thing , dont wand to expose

My 1914 Touring came with a set of Hayes wire wheels with demountable rims. Two of the Hubcaps say Hayes on them and I mounted these on the front axle. Two of the caps were plain & I mounted these on the rear axle. Why plain & Hayes logo hubcaps?

Today, I had to do the hardest thing that I have ever had to do in my life. We laid my mother to rest. So, here is a small tribute to all of the mothers that are no longer with us.

I removed the coil box on the '14 for inspection & cleaning and found a set of 4 plastic box coils. The car seems to run fine with its E-Timer and these plastic coils. I cleaned up all the contacts and put everything back together and gave it a test run, all seems well.

Are these plastic coils good reliable units or should I be looking for wooden...

I have now seen that the reverse and brake drums of the gearbox are no longer so good.
They don't have any cracks.
The gears are fine too.
Worst of all is the braking drum; you can see it in the pictures.
Now the question: what to do?
would like to install new ones but they cost so much money at snyders.

Has anyone considered installing a removable plug in the timing cover that could easily permit cleaning out the original oil line with compressed air or a small wire as regular preventive maintenance?

I'm in the process of rebuilding my generator. When I checked to see if everything was OK. I found 8 ohm when I checked with my VOM between the Insoulated brush holder and the frame of the brush holder. I was expecting it be infinity. So is 8 ohms to high?
