I'm curious to know if anyone knows what make of car this motor meter / radiator cap came from. Could it possibly be an after-market ? What would be the value?
I got this with the old oil can at a garage sale along with a bunch of model T coil boxes. Any value on the oil can?

I drive my T with no top all the time and generally I wear an old fedora hat. By the fall I have a pretty good “farmer” tan on my face, neck and forearms. Tail Light Wiring on 26 Coupe

I'm not exactly sure how the tail light wire goes. I'seen in vendors catalogs a wiring installation kit for the taillight. Not sure what the flat piece with the 3 holes and spring do and also the grommets with pigtails is for. Any help would be appreciated.
Last post
Richard, my apologies for a bum steer in some of my response. our RHD cars have the starter switch on the opposite side, so the cables and looms have to switch sides under the car. Hence the different route for the wire. The insulators and the 3 hole fibre piece are likely the same, but will be in different locations.

I am building an OHV engine and I want to know should I bother spending the money in a SCAT crank or not? I have been told the new SCAT cranks are made from soft...

15 million plus Model Ts were made. All that were built with electrical systems were 6 volt. I could care less what you do with your car's electrical system, but if your T isn't running as it's supposed to on 6 volts (and the magneto), there is a problem. My approach would be to find it. If it's a slow crank, a voltage drop test should be...

Thanks for the replys and advice. One thing I forgot to mention (due to a slipping clutch in my brain) is that the rear exhaust port on my block has seen some repair in the past and therefore I will use a new manifold. Don't want to risk any more damage to the block.

The Chassis Assembly of my 1909 Touring predated the Car Assembly by a full 2 months. Recent discussion of developmental features caused me to revisit my Build Sheet where this information is recorded. This duration sounds especially lengthy, suggesting that the Piquet Avenue plant was either jam packed with partially constructed inventory, or...

I researched Bruce's Black Book to find info about the S leftovers...Bruce thought this happened sometime in July, but this does not mean the practice was not on-going at some rate before that.
Related, I have not seen any data that shows aluminum bodies being offered to buyers as optional. Would a customer prefer an aluminum body (I...

Tube Material (again) recycled blend

Interesting reading in a current 2019 Model A parts catalog were they state the Tubes they supply are 100% Butyl Rubber
and NOT a “recycled blend”....
Seems to me that maybe us Model T Owners are the poor cousins who don’t deserve to get 100% Butyl Tubes
For their 30x3 / 30x31/2 or 21” 😡 Alan

I am going to attempt to clean and restore several front wheel hubs. I have a combination of ball and roller bearings. All are old, some loose grease and some dried grease. I need to clean and inspect all the components. I'd like to determine which bearings and races should be replaced. So the key questions are what solvent would you recommend for...

I had a hard time starting my '20 runabout. The lights would work, the horn would work, but I couldn't get it to crank with the starter. I could hand crank it on battery. I figured it was the battery since it was over 4 years old. Then last week the horn wouldn't work as well as the lights. So, I took myself to the local Tractor Supply today and...

John Regan once said in a post... A few weak magnetos I have seen will put out correct low RPM voltage but then the position of the crankshaft shifts as the engine speeds up the the magneto never develops the higher AC voltage needed at the higher RPM's. Those will tend to indeed increase AC voltage with higher RPM but will just not be able to get...

Follow-up: I did an in-car magneto recharge, and I think I'm in okay shape. Before recharge output was 15 V; after recharge was 26 V and the bulb blew followed by a new bulb that blew at 24 V. I'm questioning that I may have misread the meter a long time ago when I thought I had 34 V since the same bulb blew at 26 V after the recharge. The wiring...
