I have one of these in my 1923 Touring car, works great. My question is, does it have to be mounted in the middle of the torque tube / drive line?
Can it be mounted directly to the back of the T trans like a Warford or other Auxiliary transmissions? Seems to me it would be an easier set up to build. This is for a speedster. I have the J series...

Ten years ago Dave Dunlavy planned a “pre-tour” based out of Paynesville prior to the New London to New Brighton (Antique Car) Run. It was a big success with several early Ford and brass T owners attending. That winter, Tim Kelly suggested we meet at Paynesville every year, and we have ever since.

They're a temporary measure at best. This was a pre-82 cent, but that didn't keep it from wearing out in just a few years.

The Redwood Empire Model T Club hosted out annual Friendship Tour with the Sonoma As and the Santa Rosa Horseless Carriage Club on Sunday the 11th. After coffee and donuts we toured the vineyards of Alexander Valley and the gas a bbq lunch at Lake Sonoma. We had about 10 Vs and 15 As, I didn't count. The HCCA folks drove Ts and As.

Removed engine last year. Replacing universal joint and cant get the pin hole to line up need drive shaft to move forward another 1/8 inch to line up pin. Help please. Old u joint won't go either.

Sometime this coming winter I'm going to install the correct spring shackles on my 14 wide-track touring. The shackles on it are fine, just want them to be correct. My car is equipped with a nice set of Hassler shocks and I like them so plan on keeping them. Looking at making a spring spreader but am wondering if I'll need to remove the Hassler...

If it goes to the front plate lower hole is there a lock nut at the base of the threads on the bolt? Making some measurements for wood I do not have. Some of the wood for the car was too far gone to save or make patterns from, so it was incinerated.

I placed the rear seat box and under seat metal floor in place and made some rough measurements.

Hopefully, I'm close. Nothing ever goes back the same when it's taken apart.

Hello, I have a set of Watts clutch disks, but I understand that the Watts clutch uses a special, stiffer than stock spring.

Does anyone know the specs of that special spring? X pounds at an installed height of Y inches? or Z% stiffer than the stock Ford spring?

Garnish is for the bottom of the window on the door. This is the piece of metal with the slot for the door
latch knob.

Doing maintenance today and found that the rear wheels on my 1915 Touring are getting real loose. They have wood felloes with oval shaped spokes. I'm wondering if I should try to re-spoke them myself or, could anyone recommend a professional that could do the job and what a rough cost per wheel would be?

I am about ready to paint the engine for my 1919 non starter touring. Is the cylinder head supposed to be the same color as the block? I am using satin black for the block. I intend to paint the exhaust manifold with Eastwood Manifold grey.

Some model T touring and roadsters used a sheetmetal brace that fit between the rear fender and splash shield to help with the rattling. When did they start using this brace and how long was it used? I know it wasn't used in 1913 but don't know when they started using them.

Today I took my tow vehicle to have an other set of tyres fitted. They were a swap meet purchase, 90% tread, replaced by a youngster with mud tyres.
Four tyres, purchased, fitted and balanced, $180. One new tyre is $219.

I have never driven my 27 T much at night so have never had a problem with bulbs failing. However, our province just implemented a new law that if a car is not equipped with DRL (daytime running lights) then the headlights must be turned on whenever the car is being driven. My main issue is the clutch not slipping under load in Albert (1926 TT). I carry a bit of weight and the standard plates tend not to 'hold' over time, therefore 'strength' is my main goal. A 'free neutral' is a secondary consideration.
