I'm ready to wire my 1911 but my engine is a 1920 with starter and generator with Heinz Coils box. Can someone have wiring diagram will work with this set up? Thank you for the help and sharing.

Well after many many hours I have got the engine to run non starter car after 65 years Now a problem, pushing down on low gear heard klunk klunk klung then low band went out. I'm trying to install the welting that goes on the firewall. I have a metal firewall and I'm supposed to use small brass rivets to secure it. I'm having trouble getting the rivets to fit tightly. Is there a trick to this? Thanks.

Ok I need to replace the tires on the front of my 23. As it is there is excess difference in the wear of the two tires. The one on the left seems to have worn evenly, while the on on the right has excess wear on the outer edge. What is the best way to check front end alignment?

Does anyone know if the keys fit all units? I have a really nice lock with no key. I took it to a locksmith and they kept it for 2 weeks and said they couldn't pick the lock or make a key. They were Millinials. Anyone with wisdom know where I can get a key or have one made?

I started to put my rear fenders on my roadster and it lacked 1/2 inch or more at running board too close.Then I saw a difference in length, one was 10+1/2 the other was 12 from base to flat where the fender bolts on. I'm looking at upholstery kits from Classtique, Snyders, and Langs. They are all in the same general price range ($450-$520). Input from any of y'all who have used these would be greatly appreciated. I the Classtique kit worth the extra $70?

I was reading an article on Modeltfordfix.com today and it recommended using Mobil 28 grease for the timer. Has anyone ever use this stuff? eBay terms that as aircraft Grease. Any recommendations? Thanks.

Looking at an APCO adjustable tie rod end, it appears there is room to install a zerk fitting. I know it isn't original but has anyone ever done it and if so, did it help?

I had the pleasure of meeting Mr Dave Carnahan from Concord, CA all because of this club. He drove all the way from California (2400 miles one way) to collect his parts for his 1917 Speedster. We bonded like old friends seeing each other for the first time over many years.

I have been fighting my T all year so far. It is running better, but not great. I cannot set the timing to a low idle, with the throttle closed down, I need to keep the timing set past 9, or it will stall. While driving at full throttle, I can feel a little lurching maybe every 20 or so seconds, which makes me think carb. I always start on battery...

I have four Model T's and a Model A. All but one of them use 4:50 x 21 tires. I am a huge believer in tires with Nylon casings as Nylon is much stronger and will last much longer without age rot than conventional rayon or whatever type casings. What do you guys use to attach the switch onto the switch plate ? This one had small rusty screws which I know isn't correct. Came off my 27 Roadster.

Please post tips that make things easier IE, Use an opened old magazine under gaskets, when applying sealant. When through just turn the page and the mess is sealed in.

May be anyone knows:

I have a 7 leaf front spring (not sure which year - I can find out later), which I am restoring. The newly ordered spring clamps do not fit however. The ends for the bolt are too short, at least for the spring that has the holes to fit the clamp.

What am I missing? Wrong year? Does someone supply a longer version?

Lest we forget, today is Flag Day! Thought it was appropriate to get a picture of Clarabelle in front of Old Glory before we head out to join 5 other club cars for a nice lunch tour . About an hours drive to get to one of our favorite restaurants under absolutely perfect skies and temps.

On researching valve spring seats on the forum I note that there are several doscussions relating to the poor quality of the repro valve spring seats and the comment: only use NOS ! Okay, where do I get the NOS ones?

I just bought a spare starter motor and the rear bearing really binds on the shaft. Have looked on previous posts about rebuilding starters and haven’t found the technique of how to remove the babbit bearing and replacing it with the new sealed replacement. Is it broken up? Does the new bearing press in easily or is there machining that’s required?

Took the Ford racer to good friend Bruce in MN yesterday. The mag wasn't working well, so off I went at 3:00 am from Nebraska. We tore into it at 11:00 am:

All of a sudden you can't buy oils like Pennzoil 10W-30

It seems that oils were no longer adequate for engines
with turbochargers, etc. so they have changed the spec
and the only oils available are synthetic and rated for
your turbocharger.

Do I really have to cut or drill the rivet out of the lower D ring off the rear curtain strap and nail it to the tack strip? Is there another way to mount it without taking the D ring off for a 1922 touring 2 man top?

I noticed this broken right rear spring clamp on my 1923 touring and set about trying to replace it. Most of these clamps have a little tooth punched in them which fits into a hole in the top spring leaf.
