I have my 1926 TuDor engine out of the car for an inspection and I decided to check the weight of the triple gears and maybe equalize them. Here are their weights

#1 1.037 Kg
#2 1.029 Kg
#3 1.034 Kg

OK, so I would have to remove 8 grams from #1 and 5 grams from #3. This doesn't sound like much, until I figured out how much cast iron has to be...

Looking for a very discrete option for brake lights. Ideally, I'd have a strip of LED, 3 inches on each side, adhesive attachment. I found some on Amazon but most had very thin guage wire and didn't hold up over time. Does anyone have something that fits the bill...care to share pics and manufacturer?

I went to a guys house today to look at a truck load of T parts hes wanting to get rid of. He showed me this beauty. We pit a good coil in and it works as it should. What should I offer him for it. It has been mostly a static exhibit in his living room but his wife wants it to go.

I've recently bought a real nice 1926 Closed Cab TT and would like to put a windshield visor on it. Width of the cab where the visor goes is approximately 44 1/4 wide. Can't seem to find any pictures of a 26' - 27' Closed Cab w/visor. Any help will surely be appreciated !!

This week I needed to remove the spindle bushings as part of my 15 runabout restoration. I have one of the split end bushing removal tools that the T parts suppliers sell. Well, for the better part of two hours tried using it to remove the bushings, only able to get one of them move a fraction of an inch.

Hello, I am new to the Model TT Trucks. I just picked up a 1926 TT with what appears to be a factory stake bed. Currently it has no wood on the bed or sides. My question is does anyone make a steel pick-up style bed for a TT?

Found a 21 in. Wire wheel to be used as a spare on my Speedster. The ID for the cap is 2.65 in. My other wheels are 2.44 in. Wheel is identical in every other way. What would this wheel be off of so I can get a cap?

Have a set of Rocky mountain brakes for a TT, but no rods. We can build rods, but we are playing with the idea of using cable instead. Not sure if anyone has given this a shot before and if they ran into any issues.

Went to pu on my “new” Ricardo High compression head and my head bolts for my low head are too short. Looks like I need 3.5” bolts. Can anyone confirm this? Or at least tell me how deep the threads are from the top of the deck to the bottom of the threads. Looks like about 3/4” to me but I’m not sure.

I asked my Father 5 years ago how long will the speedometer cable last , me did not have an answer other than it was original to the car and it works all is good . Started in Healdsburg, stopped briefly at Chateu Montelena, on to the Sharpsteen Museum, then on to Brad and Anette Lusk’s niece’s winery - Brian Arden winery where we had a great tasting. When installing rear wheels on axles do you put any oil or grease on the axle or leave it dry?

For those of you that use the Anderson timer, what type of lubrication do you use that gets the best conductivity?

I fired up my 26 coupe first time since 1984, it started right up. Only ran for a few moments as I have the radiator off. When I shut it down the carb was leaking. It has a Holley Vaporizer and I can't find out what the float level should be. Any suggestions would be most helpful. Thanks

I think I know the answer to this, but I'll see if anybody confirms my suspicion. What is the likely effect of air leaking in around a worn throttle shaft? The carb in question is a standard NH, but I expect this applies to any similar carburetor.

I'm happy to report this tour is going nicely, and we have traveled some great roads. I drove down the 18% grade that everyone got all upset about, with no problems at all, after all, Model T's were made for this. It's too bad some have no faith in their cars! I'm ready for more today.

Looks like I need to replace the band adjusting nut on the reverse band. I don't have the tool that holds the band ends together. If I remove the nut without anything holding the band ends together will that create a problem? Will the bolt come out of the end of the band? Thanks for your comments. Is it time for a new starter? The battery is full charge and when you push the starter button, it cranks slowly then picks up speed. Any ideas? All the connections are clean and tight.

I have a 7 -18 -15 block that has 1/4-1/4 chip at the top of a bore and the machine shop said they could not fix it . It also has a crack about 2inches above the cam going across the timing valley about 3 inches long. Other than above it is rather basic machining . One thing I do not get is it is stamped mid 17. Today I took a load of non ferrous scrap to the yard. Came home with quite a few dollars. I keep four gallon drums next to my workshop, and as stuff comes, it is sorted and then sold. My son works installing rooftop solar power installations, so quite a bit of it was aluminium extrusions and copper wiring.

I have a cast iron intake with a huge hole like the aluminum ones have in them, It is a first for me, it has some numbers cast in it also like the aluminum ones have.

I just got a beat up 1921 with the ignition shot. I sent it out to the great ignition re-builder. To get the car running folks suggested running a 6 volt wire right to the coil box with an on off switch IT WORKS SO tomorrow try and start the car !

Pictures might be a little blurry but has anyone else seen this? Looks to be two different brasses, red on top and yellow on the bottom. It might be hard to see put if you look close you can see the separation line on the lip that fit into the body.

Well its 2 inches too wide. I have it stripped down and straightened. My question is if I take 1 inch out in two places as the tape is on springs, will it effect the way the springs work? I will have to shorten the crossed springs between coil springs 20190604_143629.jpg

The part that gives me fits is trying to tighten the nut without knocking the brush out of adjustment.

I have some nice Ford optional bumpers I want to install my 26 Touring but an initial fitting of the front bumper brackets showed me that my front Hasslers will interfere with the brackets. What are my options if I want to keep the Hasslers? Is it possible to have both?

I recently acquired a Lincoln over/under trans for my TT truck but it's missing the part (or parts) to mount the shift tower. Without it I have no way of mounting the shift tower to the torque tube. The photo shows the tower and shift linkage that I have.
