If you want the forum software to keep track of which threads you have already read, it pays to log in first thing every time you enter the forum.

If you have already read all of the threads in a category, but they aren't all marked as read, you can mark them all as read with one click by selecting mark topics read in the location circled and...

If you'd like to add a signature line, like mine below, that show what car(s) you own or other additional information, here's how you do it.

Once you've successfully registered and are logged on, look at the upper right hand corner of the screen and do the following things:

- Click on the down arrow next to your username
- Click on User Control...

These Towncar photos were taken at a 2018 fall steam & car show in Ohio. The fellow had many Model T's and most all were for sale. I didn't have my camera with me so a friend I was with took these and sent them to me.

I Always thought a T snowmobile had dual rear wheels and a track.
But I see on the Snowmobile meet post, one of these:

Was this a common thing to do?
It would seem to me that by installing skis, and adding chains or as seen here those buckle cinches, a guy could have a lotta fun on a frozen lake.

I am working on a 1912 Holley and am in need to the brass choke return spring. Does anyone know of a supplier for them?

With help from some great guys I managed to assemble my rear differential today... In fitting the driveshaft (with a Fun Projects modern Pinion bearing) it seems I could use some shims to set the depth that the pinion gear engages the ring gear. I had hoped to not use the flimsy paper gaskets that are available so this is my question:

Well that Magnet was the little pixie folks. Totally ground itself up into the oil, (Gritty oil) Yikes!
The bushings in the transmission are toast, the crankshaft has a nice dark gray film attached to it, Yuck!
Well, I have another engine ready for it so shelve the old one.

I have a winter project!

Working on a 1927 Coupe and wondered if someone could tell besides the head bolts which bolts on the engine need to be nickel plated.

Putting a 14 back together, putting in the long bolt on the steering bracket (through the wood block), am I correct that there is no washer involved?

BTW, I repaired my leaks with silver solder! Successfully, but not without trepidation.

One of the first things noted is that where on the old I could have maybe 10 lines of post on a smart phone screen before needing to scroll, the new one gives me but one open post (which is OK) until folks go wild with signatures and then I wish I had a thumbwheel.

The same link allows the 2019 connection, but then only ID's back to 2018. At my age I don't like change but I am very pleased with this new forum. It's quite apparent that a lot of thought has gone into it and I am gratefull.

I'm about ready to reassemble the rear differential from my 1917 Touring. I'll eventually be filling the differential with APG 140 gear oil but wonder what I should use to pre-lube the inner hyatt bearings prior to installation? I'm tempted to use a light bearing grease but perhaps I should just coat them with gear lube. Comments?

Just got confirmed but already have a question. Will there be a link to the MTFCA home page like there was on the old forum? Will that page be changed as well and also I saw no place to add a profile picture am I missing that. Thanks Chris for all you do. Jim

The Toyota Museum in Nagoya has a few Model T's. They used to offer Model T driving lessons a few years ago but cancelled them due to a lack of interest.

If you're ever in Nagoya and have a bit of spare time it is worth a visit.

Found an already modified '26-'27 touring goose neck tire carrier at swap meet.

Welded on receiver type hitch to the goose neck, and had the proper length to extend past the tire carrier and tire too!
All I had to find was a small size receiver bar, and a tiny hitch ball. The receiver bar needed has to be a dropped style, otherwise the trailer...

I am in! :)
