Don't know if this is happening to anyone else, but recently when sending to or replying to those with gmail addresses I get a response that my email was rejected. Sometimes resending works sometimes not. The rejection messege says something about going to google and adding some security stuff to my origin email (not gmail my own corporate domain)...

What year was this? There is no year anywhere on the buckle. The two banners in the upper left and right sat Business and Pleasure respectively.

A while back I stumbled upon this old postcard of a street in our town with a Model T parked on the side of the road.

I had to wait for just the right time when there were no cars in the way so I could park my Model T in the same spot to try and duplicate the picture. It’s neat to see what has changed and what things stayed the same....

Replacing pedal shafts, the wort part is getting the pins out, the clutch pedal was loose on the shaft the pin came out easily the brake and reverse pedals is another story I had to use heat WD-40 and drill into the pins from both sides only then would the pins drive out with a punch. BTW I ended up bending the punch shaft :roll:

A choke rod for a Centerdoor is how long from inside the car to the bell crank? Is it 17 11/16ths inches or is it 20 inches?

Consequently, the bottom part of the magneto coil assembly has a certain amount of spring to it, and may be attracted into actual contact with the brass plates over the magnets when the powerful current from the storage batteries is sent through the windings, thus giving greater magnetizing effect.

I’m checking the alignment of my firewall to cowl support mounting holes to the cowl itself. Eventually a piece of gasket if will go under the cowl support wood.

This is for my 22 Centerdoor. Some of the support wood is original. Other parts are a kit from a different style of car, since no cowl wood is made for this car.

I just had my wheels re-spoked my Stutzman. They are beautiful, but now it's time to finish them. What color is correct for 1916? Maybe they were simply painted by Ford, but I'd like to show off my beautiful spokes.

OK.. reading the Encyclopedia the pedals changed from CBR to Ribbed to Smooth during 1915 period.
Here in Australia our cars were Canadian imported.
I have quite a few transmission covers from later models, all starter motor castings, which have ribbed pedals.
The question is did the Canadian production keep ribbed pedals later than US cars?

When using a diode and 1156 bulb to charge a battery off of the magneto, can you splice into the mag wire before the diode and run the coils off mag? You should be able to as nothing should feed back thru the diode from the battery and the mag should be able to produce enough voltage to do both

When a spam or scam posting shows up, I would suggest everyone ignore it, let it drop down the page superseded by legit postings. Before you know it they will be out of sight and out of mind. What was the final year for the domed head clevis pin? Both my 1913's have them, and Russ says his 1915's do too. So, how much longer did they use them? Langs catalog incorrectly says they were used until 1911.

I am rebuilding a large drum ruckstell. My question is the shift lock is an early brass one. Are the parts internal interchangeable with the second generation cast ones ? My p113 shift clevis shows signs of wear and chips at the two lock notches.

In general, do you really need any gaskets on the model T? Other than the head gasket, couldn’t you just use various permatex products where you would use a cork or cardboard gasket?

I tried pressing the ring gear on and it seemed to be taking too much force… well, it broke. This is after leaving the diff half it bolts to in the freezer for a couple days and after oiling the interface. Is it suppose to be this tight?

I refurbish, adjust and test later Ford cutouts up through 1938, but am not familiar with early model T applications.

I find this puller to do the best on all the heavy pulling for my axle gears, gears, bearings, hubs (Model A) for my Model T, Model TT, and Model A. I like the positive locking ring that keeps the pulling arms from sliding off my work. The gear pictured is a Model TT axle gear it just pulled off, just like butter.

I have a 26-27 Touring body on, I think, a 21 chassis. The pedals are evenly spaced apart. The floorboards for the later transmission don't fit these pedals. Has anybody had this experience? Do I need to make custom fit floorboards to fit the even spacing pedal slots? Anybody have any measurements for the 26-27 Touring with a '21...

I have seen some people use a DC welder to recharge their magneto in the car. Can you also use an AC welder?

On my friend's English (righthand drive) Model T the advance and retard lever will not retard enough for starting. Checking the timing shows that it fires at about TDC instead of about 20 degrees after. I tried adjusting the commutator pullrod but there is not enough thread to unscrew it. Found by friend on his '20 touring.

Any suggestions on fishing out the lower front felt seal on the crankshaft? I pulled the timing cover and the top on was worn out so I thought I would replace the bottom one if it can be done. I didn't want to start poking at it without advice from here.
