Pre- starter style flywheel. No visual cracks on close inspection. It has been cleaned & de-greased. All the threads are good. Nice original triple gear pins. Robert, if you’re considering purchasing a machine from Gene you’ll be one happy camper for sure. I own the lite version from Gene French and have done two blocks so far and another three lined up. I can say it’s one nice and easy to use machine to line bore the main bearings.

I have a fully restored model a Ford transmission, done using all NOS Ford parts. Has less than 200 miles on it. Was used while waiting for a Mitchell synchronized transmission. Rebuilt tower, and restored and replated shifter.

How do you like the Mitchell? I love mine. Makes shifting a breeze. No more grinding and double clutching.

They are nice, but the gear hardness is not the same as the Ford Made gears. Have noticed delamination and growling in transmissions that have around 10,000 miles . Luckily Mitchell has excellent customer service. You kind of miss the...

front timing cover centering gage … this is the tool used to center the timer recess to assure uniform timing from cylinder to cylinder … this is often overlooked when re-assembling an engine and a poorly centered timer will result in poor performance … this tool centers the actual timer recess to the camshaft ...NOT the much smaller design that...

I need a 24 diameter clincher tire wheel for my 1925 roadster. I picked up my 1925 roadster back in October and it never had a spare tire. The front and rear wheels have 3 x 3 1/2 tires. The front wheels have wood felloes, and the rear wheels have metal felloes, so either kind would be ok.

Looking at your car it looks to be a '24-5. So I have defined that much, I think I would look for a set of demountable wheels, including a 5th rim & a rear rim & tire carrier to match the 30x3 1/2 tires or go to 21 balloon wheels & tires as they became available later in the 25 model year.
