I know the old archives are no longer supported, but I hope their current presentation can be corrected. After logging in to the New Forum and then trying to look at old threads, no matter which year I select--2018, 2017, 2016, 2015--any word search defaults to 2015 only. I can get on the parts for sale forum and there is a button for new topic so I can post parts for sale. But when I go to the vehicles for sale there is no way to post. What am I not understanding or doing wrong?

I'll do the whole new password thing again and see if it works.

When I try to login, the site keeps telling me to login. When I try lost password, I get invalid form. If I try to register again, it tells me username and email already in use. IF I try to contact you by email, I get invalid_form. Thanks for any help. This page gives me: The username you entered is already in use, please select an alternative.

The old forum had a link to the MTFCA home page. It was a handy feature. The new forum might have such a link, but I haven't found it.

I don't see a New Topic button on Vehicle Classifieds. How does one post to vehicle classified's?

How does one respond to a person who has replied to my classified advertisement. When an email from a responder is forwarded to me there is no way to contact this person either through the forum classifieds or directly as no email is given. Why not? There was even a choice of methods in the old forum classified.

How do I edit my post once it has been posted?

I see several (bot) registered users at times, in grey.
If you have to submit your information and then wait for an email to register, how do these bots
get here ?
I assume they are just trolls or whatever.

How do I edit comments on photos in personal gallery?

Not that it's a pressing matter, but now that we've switched over to the new forum format for the Classifieds, can the main link to the Classifieds that appears throughout the MTFCA site be changed to point to the new Classifieds instead of the old 2018 site?

Can I turn off the pop-up that shows first and last post? It pops up and covers the titles of other threads I am trying to look at and possibly click on. I then have to move my cursor to some other location to make it go away. Then move back and hope I get my cursor in the right place quick enough to click on what I want, because if I'm off by one...

One of the things I have enjoyed with the old forum is the ability to do a MTFCA Google search for a subject and find old posts that already answer my question. Anyone know if that Google search will find responses in the current new forum?

Some members are linking to HUGE signature photos. And unlike the Avatar photos, there doesn't seem to be any size or pixel limit to these. So the huge photos appear inline, over and over, in threads where they post.

I know one solution is to turn off viewing signatures in my preferences, but some members put their names, or business links in the...

Hi, I'd like to see many topics not a bunch of small pages of topics. How can I set my view so that it shows say 200 Topic entries like the old forum did?

We know about the issues. I’ve been on the phone with our hosting provider tech support for several hours today.

Together we made some substantial changes to the software to try and eliminate the problems we’ve been having. I think we made progress. Only time will tell.

I can not post replies on all the forums and do not know why. I am a member of the MTFCA. I can do the classifieds parts but not the classifieds cars. Why is that?

A number of times today, I have been reading posts on the forum and when I try to refresh or return to the discussion forum, I get the message: Sorry but the board is temporarily unavailable, please try again in a few minutes. After (indeed) a few minutes, it's back to normal until the next time it happens. Maybe 8-10 times so far.

Is it me or are the classifieds missing?

After reading all the fine print, there appears to be no way to transfer an image directly from my computer to this 2019 Forum.

I went to the BBC website for more details and I found no direct image post plan there.

Am I missing something?

I like the Mark Topics Read feature, but is there a way to limit its action to only the currently viewed page?

This morning the new threads extended onto a second page. I went to page two, read one or two threads, then clicked on Mark Topics Read .

When I went to page one, all of its topics were also marked read, which isn't what I had intended....

Seems that I can login here at my work computer ... but not at home on my iphone or ipad. Any ideas?

After reading a posting, then using the back to forum link this takes me to the top of the page and must scroll down to the next posting. If I use the arrow back it takes me to the posting last read but does not indicate it was read. Is this normal?

Twice in the past 2 days I have gotten up to get refreshments after reading a long thread, when I got back the Forum was logged out and I had to log back on. Is there an idle timer that logs you out after a certain amount of time? :roll:

Just testing out the forum. I switched over from the old forum last week. I really like the way it is set up although I can't get my old avatar photo shrunk down enough to use. I used Microsoft paint, but I can't quit get it to work.

Now that we have this great new Forum, it seems like an opportune time to share vids of our cars, restorations and adventures. What do you think? My vids are far from perfect in every sense, but I'll add these two of when i first acquired it , and a little work done after.

Why do some pictures get labled with ATTACHMENT with dotted lines around them?

Royce's Model T Ford Fix web site uses the same software platform as this site and the photos you post over there show up full size from the get go without having to click on them to view full size. I am testing my ability to use the system. New password did not take and Chris gave me a new one which I changed per instructions.

This morning I sent 2 PM's to a friend, as a test. Requested he reply if my efforts were successful. The reply never came. Tonight I called him to check status and he never received the PM.

So, I checked my profile, and heck, my 2 msgs are in my OUTBOX.. What did I do wrong so it cam be corrected?

Is there a way to edit post that you make? I've looked around and can't find a way. I'm a moderator on a motorcycle forum and posters can edit their threads and as moderator I can do quite a bit with them.

edit. Just found that by going to user control panel you can edit your post by clicking on the pencil. And you can edit just after posting....

I have tried till i am blue in the face and cant get file smaller than 100X75 which wont cut it. This is much worse than the old forum for posting pictures and I thought it was bad. Perhaps Chris can post detailed instructions on how to do it in different formats. Been better if profiles could have been transfered to new forum. :oops:

First post in the new forum. I am getting along slowly but surely with navigating here. I historically have only used maybe 5 to 10% of any sites functions at sights I visit as I do not seem to need the all the bells and whistles. Maybe that's why I do not see the need for a smart phone.

Bad timing, and I do not believe it has anything to do with this new forum setting up. But when I checked my email this evening, there was some suspicious activity. OK. Windows 10 users. Go to the Microsoft store. Look for free picture resizer apps. I down loaded Image resizer. First one listed. There is a number of free ones. It'll show up when you click the MS square on the bottom left of your screen after downloading. I shrunk the image to 73 vertical (only gives the one measurement)and saved. When saving...
