Scammers are back

Post by ironhorse » Tue Nov 15, 2022 4:18 pm

I thought I had gotten rid of them since I hadn't received a call in 3 months but today I got one.
this is what I sent to the FTC.
Recorded call said my "account" was overdue and that my service would be "cut off" today please press 1 if you wish to make any arrangements. They did not identify what account was overdue nor what company they were with! Sounded like a young girl and I heard giggles in the background.

I keep this link in my favorites and use it whenever I get a spam call
https://www.donotcall.gov/report.html#step1
It has done a good job of limiting those calls so I guess it does help to put your number on the National Do Not Call list.
Do it right or do it over, your choice. Drive like everyone is out to get you!

GREETING: The cited account is no longer pregnant. The baby was delivered, but there are issues. We have elected to adopt out the little alligator. (Such a cutie!) Your information and location are now in our system. Authorities will contact you latter in the day. It is suggested that you cooperate. It is further suggested that you pack a small bag. You may be away for some time. Nobody expects an infant alligator when they ordered, and were promised, a full size Nile crocodile. A full report has been forwarded to the Secretary General. cc: DDM/MTV/ADM (Dept. 3, Enforcement)

I got a scammer call at 9:00 one night from the income tax that I owed them $14,000 and they were going to take my motorhome if I didn't pay. I was as polite as I could be and told them where to go and that the income tax does not call at 9:00 at night. They recalled and got real nasty then I found out it was real and my wife some how got behind and did owe the $14,000. I payed the scammers and they went away happy.
