Any idea what this fits?

Post by Dennis Prince » Thu Dec 21, 2023 1:01 pm

I was helping a friend move and we found this in the barn. It is a crankshaft but it is 46 inches long has a 3 inch stroke, 1 inch journals, 2 mains and none of the throws line up. It was to neat to put in the scrap pile.

That looks like a crank used in a combine to work the straw walkers. That is used to fluff the straw to help separate the grain out.

WOW that didn't take long, I'll bet you are correct Herb. It came from a wheat farm that has been there over a century. Thank you. Dennis
