Ebay gripe - brass steering wheel spider

Post by Rich Eagle » Fri May 03, 2024 4:46 pm

I'm getting rid of some parts on Ebay and listed this Brass steering wheel spider.
https://www.ebay.com/itm/285842961480?i ... R7qJiYLoYw
Listed first "Brass Era Solid Brass Steering Wheel Spider" then "Antique Automobile Solid Brass Steering Wheel Spider, Brass Era". It doesn't come up in searching "Brass Era", "Steering Wheel Spider" or anywhere else that makes sense. It was put in a Maritime Wheels category, and I says I can't revise the category to of their choices.
I'm not the brightest coil in the box and struggle with the computer programs but have had no trouble listing my Harley JD parts. I would have listed it here, but it isn't Model T. The buy/sell on this forum has been good to me and I will be posting some items here shortly.
I just needed a place to rant.
Thanks
Rich
WoW! how Harley parts have appreciated in 50 years!
When did I do that?

Rich,

I got it to come up with the following two searches :

Spider, Brass Era

Steering Wheel, Brass Era

My guess is that comma is confusing the search engine for other searches.

Try rewording the title without a comma.

I drive a Model T ... Microseconds don't matter :D

For every Absolute Model T Fact there are at least three exceptions.

You could end the listing and re-list it properly.

Thanks for the ideas. I got 31 views since griping about it here. I'll link it on some other sites and then list it another time after it ends.
