Anybody Know What This Is

Post by mt15 » Tue Jun 01, 2021 5:37 pm

I had this for years. Not even sure where I got it.
I’ve had it at my Chickasha booth several times. A lot of theories
Theories but know positive ID’s

It's a valve spring compressor.

I can see that!
A lot of people thought it was a speedometer cable/head/swivel tool.
I give it a try and see how it works.
thanks

Not a valve spring compressor - it's an early Ford speedometer cable end wrench.

It is not a speedometer swivel tool. It appears to me to be a valve spring compression tool. Here is a photo of the swivel tool..similiar but not the same. Russ Furstnow

What do I know ? I thought I'd seen that shape before ! A ruler for scale might have helped ?

Here's a similar lift, dual ends. The Ford valve end is noted. Found on the web.

Steve, Check out second picture with the ruler, it shows the tool to be about 3.5 inches. I don't know what tool is used for.

I may be way off base here, but I think that may be a tool for FORD watermeters. They use the block letters like that. JMHO Dave
