Good evening all,
I'm looking for opinions on the above mentioned carb. I know this will be difficult as it seems know one on this forum has an opinion they want to share. Snot flying laugh! Seriously, I would like to hear from anyone who has had first hand experience. Thanks in advance!

The old forums are a gold mine of information.

Re: Opinions on Stromberg RF
**Ignore*** I miss read the RF my reply is for the OF**** Sorry!
From a performance point of view, it's the best performance upgrade investmentvI have made on my 23 touring.
Hill climbing speeds increased 25% and cruise speed is improved 30% when compaired to my stock Kingston L4 and my Holley NH that has Scott C's full flow seat and needle installed.
It prefers to run at 45mph vs 35mph.
Fuel economy seems to be the same but I'm not actually recording and doing any math other than how many gallons at full up vs estimated miles.

Everything works in theory.
Reality is how you determine if something works or not.

Re: Opinions on Stromberg RF
The RF was Stromberg's replacement for the OF. Improvements included a much better float system and an elimination of the "runny-nose" syndrome that many OF's had. They run stronger and smoother that an OF, BUT removing the brass idle jet is more often than not impossible. I've had maybe 10-12 of these and only able to save 3-4 of them. Stan had devised a way of boring out the old jet section and replacing it with his own design, but eventually just refused to do them any more. Tim Morsher is a big fan of the RF's as well and had several working ones. Buying one online is a BIG risk but if you're lucky you will be very happy with the Stromberg RF.
