26/27 fordor doors

Post by Waldo » Thu Apr 13, 2023 8:16 am

There is a local individual who is trying to find a home for a full set of all 4 doors for a fordor 26/27 to settle an estate. I know in 26 the fordor was the only body style not to change to the new design. Is it correct to assume then the doors will also fit 23 through 25? Will they fit any of the low cowl years?

Doug, check the link from 2013 regarding Fordor doors. David's post summarizes the issue.

"The 23-24 Fordor used the wood framed doors. The 25-27 Fordor used the all steel door. The later door will fit all Fordors, but is correct for 25-27.

The wood framed doors on the 24 Coupe I believe are the same size as the Fordor, but they are constructed differently. The 25 Coupe used the same all steel door as the 25-27 Fordor.

So they will fit the 23-27 Fordor, and the 24-25 Coupe. They are correct for the 25-27 Fordor, and the 25 Coupe.
