Model T Emergency Brake Lever/High / Netural Lever
So I have been noticing on my 26 T Touring that when I need to use the Brake Lever all the way back to stop sometimes I am getting what sounds like a dry squeak sound when I pull it back all the way. Any ideas on what is going on. We have Owned the car for now 20 Years. I have had never had the rear wheels or brake drums off. The previous owner basically used the car as a Museum Showpiece so he did not drive it much. The previous Owner before him I do not know much about.
I do not know if I need new brake shoe linings or etc.?

Is there something wrong with the trans brake that you are using the hand brake to stop?

A 1926 touring car should have the improved T large drum lined brake shoes, and if properly maintained and adjusted can be used as an emergency brake or brake assist to save a bit on wear of the pedal brake linings.
The lining can dry out with age or wear with use. A squeak could be from many things, including hardened linings or wear allowing a metal part of the shoe to contact with the drum.
Regardless, it is only speculation without pulling the wheels and taking a good look at things.
You may need a wheel puller to get the wheels off. What type wheels does your T have? Wire wheel hubs and wooden spoke wheels use different types of pullers. If a proper puller is not readily available, there are other ways to loosen the hubs.

Might be a good time to pull your bands to inspect your linings and pull the rear wheel to inspect the parking brake shoes.

You should be taking the rear wheels off every 1-2 years to inspect and repack the rear bearings, and examine the sleeves and the rear axle. This is just standard maintenance. You should do the same with the front bearings. Are you also oiling the front and rear axle shackles and greasing the universal joint?

I grease the U Joint and Drive Shaft Zerks as recommend. Also, oil the shackles, etc. I have not taken the rear wheels off. Will I need a puller to get the Rear Wheels off?

Yes, you will need a puller or a wheel knocker to get your rear wheels off the axle shaft.

I’m with Burket..The Crossshaft onto which the emergency brake handle is riveted is held by 2 brackets - one on each frame rail. There’s a hole in each frame rail into which oil can be squirted onto the Crossshaft. That could also cause the ‘dry squeek’

Yep. I give it some oil from time to time as well. Thanks for the heads up everyone.
