1920’s Model T ???

Post by John kuehn » Sat Oct 19, 2024 6:20 pm

Here’s a photo on the History of Exploration website on Facebook.
If you notice this is an AI generated photo that’s not researched of some type of aftermarket body of just simply generated to what was thought of what a Model T looked like. There are several more generated images that just aren’t accurate at all and that’s to bad. Scroll down the website and you can see several more. The next T ??? photo looks “more fake”
than this one.

Some of the History sites have real photos but this one not so much. Sad.

What most people don't understand about current AI is that it is simply an amalgamation of all data sets available it can access.
That's inclusive of both accurate as well as inaccurate data, and, still requires a coder to manipulate, eg, at risk of the human element driving the algorithm. While there are arenas AI can provide benefit, it is not necessarily pure of truth, nor is it free from risk of manipulation.

Is that one of those China-made semi-T golf carts?

AI is not ready for prime time. A good example is the pioneer family. Dad is wearing a hat. He casts a shadow, but the hat doesn't. :)

If it's on Facebook, it must be real and true!

Mr Zuckerburg is no doubt a very intelligent young man, but he seems to be unaware of his influence on pop culture and popular opinion.

Well there is a lot of “all Model T’s were black thinkers” in the AI world. It’s appearing a little more in the other History sites. I guess I’m getting old when there are Old Hollywood sites that have photos in the 70’s. Time moves on.

"A" "I" means either "automated idiocy", or "automated incompetence" depending upon whether it is telling you something, or trying to do something.

There is no reality and no truth in the virtual world.

There seems to be a rash of "historical" themed pages appearing on FB of late, all with AI generated pictures and text.

Before this rash of AI nonsense, real AI was artificial insemination, widely used on farms to greatly expand the influence of superior sires to improve milk production, growth rates etc.

We all know what is coming -- but will not admit it!

The future of the history of the Model T.

As Allan suggest -- by artificial insemination.

What is the symbol on the door? Can anyone see clear enough to identify it?
