Look at the roof on the porch in the first picture. It seems to have a scaffold built over it. This could have been done for the lettering for the sign.

I have seen other period advertising that show the heavy cotton duct covers with stripes.
I know the voices aren't real but damn they have some good ideas!

Number thirteen is a nice 1914 runabout with after-market fenders all around. Several companies made similar fenders to upgrade the outdated style of the Ford car. Most Ford owners were too practical for them sell in large numbers, but occasionally we can see them in era photos. I have seen only a few loose ones and a couple full sets over the years myself in person.
The Peerless sheet metal company was one of the makers of fenders like these. They made and sold a lot more tool boxes than they did fender sets.
