Towncar

Post by Colin Mavins » Mon Aug 04, 2025 7:30 pm

I realize that the Towncar is a very low production car but in Winnipeg they were just a taxi cab and were most likely driven to death. There is a 1012 Towncar in Winnipeg, it is still in the hands of the original family and it was a taxi until 1941 and it is beat . It will need a 60,000 dollar restoration all day long. I would think for the rich there were much fancier options .

I wouldn't mind seeing that car. Not one bit.

I will see if I can track in down I have Dads description and a map to its location 1979 It was not for sale it had a 1926 engine trans head lights body was bad wheels were later and at the time Dad felt it would be a parts car It was bought new and used as a taxi until the war my guess 1941 in a small town outside Winnipeg. I will start looking cheers Colin
