Spare tyre carrier

Post by Allan » Tue Aug 12, 2025 2:50 am

I stumbled across these photos which were were taken before 1990 when I was restoring my 1915 tourer. This carrier came with the remains of the car. It is blacksmith made to fit, using the rear spring U bolts to mount it.
As found, one side was 2" higher when mounted, so I couldn't help rectifying this before repainting it ready ro fit. You might like to try your hand making one or your early tourer

That's a running board type George, a bit useless on a four door Canadian car! :D

G’day Allan…. I didn’t realize I was promoting a sale to you. As you stated “You might like to try your hand making one”; I was only offering another style….
