Random Model T thoughts

Post by Ruxstel24 » Thu Feb 07, 2019 9:11 am

Another place I visit has a thread similar to this.
Just what ever comes to mind related to Model Ts. Future plans/dreams, things you may have experienced or learned/discovered, whatever...

I will start with,
Lately I find myself remembering things (with a lot of help from you guys) about Ts, but forgot.
It's been 30+ years since I was involved with my dad, going to swap meets and car shows, and helping work on cars. Married, moved away, etc.

I think I get the old mechanics, when I was a newbie, when they would say...
"I've forgotten more than you'll ever know, sunny !!"

Two random thoughts I've had since getting into Model T's a couple years ago:

- Why did I wait this long? I've been working on old cars consistently since I was old enough to toddle into the garage. But, I've had more fun fixing up this old farm car than any previous old car.

- My grandfather would've loved playing with this T with me. He talked about the Model T he had when he was a teenager a lot.

Dave...you're part of the "reason" T parts are multiplying for me. ;) You're enabling my habit.

Can't wait to get my hands on the seats and top at Chickasha!

A lot of my Model T thoughts center on trips I'd like to make. I imagine revisiting places I went decades ago, in a Model T this time, and driving a T to places I've never seen except in pictures. I intend to do as many of them as I can while I'm able to do it.
