Vagabonds 2020 style

Post by TWrenn » Thu Jun 04, 2020 6:47 pm

Today five of us from our local club got together "Vagabond style" for a little picnic, social distance of course, to just enjoy camaraderie and plan this Sundays picnic and tour. The Pres was the chef! We will start here again at noon and tour the afternoon from there. Great weather forecast so should be a great day. Today I used the Fordor, Sunday it'll be so nice I'll use the '13 with the top DOWN!! Love the open sky view. Hope y'all can get out this weekend too. We'll keep our distance of course!

Great idea! Looks like you're having fun. With so many formal tours cancelled, when it is legal and prudent to do so, I think it would be a wonderful idea to get the word out to a few friends or club members and put something impromptu together. We don't want to let summer go by without having some fun with our cars and friends.

Thanks Tim! That's our sentiment exactly.
Once the screwy weather straightened out, we've already had at least 4 impromptu outings with anywhere from 3 to 7 cars. We had 7 cars on an early May Sunday when it was a rare nice day that I threw together. All we did was drive and make one short stop toward the end to stretch our legs. Was nice to get out and drive. 2 weeks later 6 cars of us toured to a nearby winery for some safe distance outdoor camaraderie. We'll keep it up! This is a club who likes to drive!
